Cloud regretted then that he hadn't bought a new sword to temporarily replace Grève. Of course, pretty soon, he wouldn't need a sword. The wolf part of him would take care of any needed "pursuading". Now what, Cloud thought. She's not making it very easy for me. And I would prefer not to scratch and knaw at the door as a werewolf. That's it! Maybe, if I tell her about my situation, she'll at least let me in. Maybe. It's worth trying. "Okay, well, the sun has set, and dark will be here soon with the coming of the moon. And I havn't explained to you why I'm doing this for Kakrikya. Long story short, I need something for my werewolf form", he said, accenting the last two words.

"I suggest that you go back to ask for another assignment," Geal called, "Because there's simply no way that I can give Kakrikya what she wants! Ever!!"

"I'm staying right here, but come nightfall, you'll regret your decision." It was a matter of minutes now until night........

Geal smirked and stood up, having confidence that her magical wards could stand up to a werewolf attack. "That's right..." she told herself, "Nothing's going to hurt you....not ever again...You're in a safe world of your own, where no one can hurt you..."

Night came. Cloud felt the same burning sensation. Even though he knew what to expect, the pain was not any the lesser. He screamed out cries of agony, until the transormation was over. There was a door in front of him. He smelled food. Cloud realized what the wolf part of him was wanting to do and didn't even try to restrain it. The werewolf fiercely scratched and clawed at the door, driven by its need for food.

Geal jumped, shaking. She quickly calmed herself and strengthened the wards on her home. "Shoot," she thought, "If I didn't have to get food and water, I wouldn't even HAVE a door."

The werewolf was in its element now. He could feel that he had almost reached the full thickness of the door. From then, he would make the hole bigger, big enough that he could fit through. There, one small hole. Cloud didn't understnd why Geal was so determined not to pay her debts. How bad could they be?

"No!!!!!" Geal yelled as she noticed the hole. She rushed to cover it up, grabbing a plank and uttering a spell that stuck it into place.

The werewolf noticed that the hole was covered. That was the last straw. The werewolf was about as frustrated as Cloud. He now used his large weight and slammed himself against the door. It appeared that it might have started to be working. Only a matter of time, Cloud thought.

Geal backed up against the wall, gathering as many potions and wards as she can.
"No..." she gasped, "This can't be happening..."

The werewolf's determination increased his strength by tenfold. The werewolf slammed against the door time and time again. Finally the door's hinges broke, and the door fell to the ground. Cloud, or rather, the werewolf, bared his fangs.

"NOOO!!!" Geal screamed, throwing a potion in front of her which summoned a screen of thick smoke. When it finally cleared, she was gone.

When Cloud had gotten far enough into the cabin. He chaged back into a human. When the smoke had cleared, he noticed Geal was gone. "Great!" he shouted, sarcastically to himself. She was right there and she slipped away before he could get to her. Cloud was determined not to give up.
((gtg, see ya!))

Geal ran, terrified, through the woods. How could anyone have gotten through her magic?? She had spent 70 years perfecting her skill! What was all of that suffering, all of that laboring, all of the cheating and lying she did worth??!! She tripped, her legs unaccustomed to physical stress, tears streaming down her artificial face.

Cloud walked to the doorway, just out of reach of the moonlight. He decided to call out, if by chance Geal was still nearby. "So, I assume that means you can't pay her right now. Well, If you'll explain why, I'm not going to hurt you, I just have to bring you to Kakrikya to negotiate, okay?"
