*** Dameus Exavior was falling through what seemed an endless void of darkness. he felt as if his very being was faltering and altering, warping itself...
...
dameus slowly opened his eyes. what he first glimpsed was the sky. it was an amber brown, the color of his tea. there were two moons and a sun shining in the middle as amber grey clouds were circled around it in an almost swirling manner. stars were dotted across the sky though...it was night yet day... how...strange... he slowly, as if drunk, got up to his feet and staggered. he caught his balance and began to look around at the grass. the grass was a maroon and the ground was an almost pinkish red... he was surrounded by a field of this grass that seemed sharp like daggers. he could have plucked a piece and easily have fought with it like it were one of his own daggers. he took a few paces, being sure to step onto the grass, not through it so he could avoid the pointy tips. suddenly the clouds swirled even further into the sky, circling around...a sun, if it was even that. the two moons suddenly created an eclipse in the sun and the clouds became a half grey as light that was dull began to shine. ... it was half light. dameus then saw an enormous crystalline sharp pointed castle begin to rise out of the ground. it kept rising...and rising... it rose above the mountains...still gaining altitude. finally it rose and touched the clouds. the light from the eclipse then faded as all the rich golden light escaped to be replaced by half light. within the half light, all appeared as silhouettes. it was like someone drew an enormous landscape but forgot to paint it and left all of the figures too dark to glimpse any detail... it was like night...yet the light shone over all...the half light... dameus then suddenly was shot with a train of thought he hadn't yet come across. ELASIA! where was she? and what about that dark figure??? Something must have happened! where...what happened? WHERE in the world WAS he? ... He wasn't even in the world... he noticed that now... dameus then saw in the distance what looked like the outline of a city. somewhere he could go and hopefully find refuge. dameus began to dash towards the city.
soon he was fairly close. he finally reached the gate and opened it as he saw no life within the city... ... a grey mist enshrouded this place... a thick fog... it looked as if the city had been burned...the earth...dameus did not know how but it looked as if it had decayed. ... dameus cautiously took steps into the city... there was no life. it was all decayed...all destroyed... an air of death loomed strongly all around. there was no hum of li- something shifted. dameus instinctively reached for his blade and brandished it. ... where had the motion come from... ... dameus took one step into the seemingly lifeles city square... ... sharp pain streamed across his back. dameus turned around, noticing blood on the ground and a being hunched over it as it clicked in accordance. the being was wrapped like a mummy, the leather black battered with age. it was a humanoid from the looks of it yet where the eyes would be it was rather garbed there as well. it had very sharp needlelike claws poking out of the fingers...of which it had five...yet two were sepperated on each side of the hand and the thumb was a bit longer. it clicked loudly, its sound reminded dameus of rotting corpses and revenants. the only thing that wasn't garbed was its mouth and chin. its skin was almost the same color as the garbs and its teeth curved out of the top and out of the bottom and it had two tongues. the teeth were silver and the insides of the mouth were crimson red. as it hunched over the pool of red blood it was licking it up with its two forked tongues. its movements were quirky and like shifting liquid. it finished the pool of blood and then let out a screeching sound dameus couldnt help but cover his ears before even paying more attention. the fiend then leapt at dameus with sharp claws stretched out. dameus leapt back as he was being attacked and then tried to kick at the being. it easily grabbed his foot and with heaving strength threw him a hundred yards away as dameus slammed into a brick wall, past the bricks, and into the fireplace. the being was already dashing towards him by then. dameus, his mind screaming at this horrifying being, shakily pulled out his bow and nocked a few arrows. quivering, the being was ten feet away... dameus shot it thrice through where the heart would be as the being was flown back into the other end of the room. dameus then nocked a few more and kept shooting it as the being screeched in pain. finally it fell silent and dameus dropped his bow and fell on the floor, clutching his heart as it thumped with a resonance that could be heard from the fiends position. he breathed hard as he was scared nearly to death by this...horrifying menace. after a few minutes dameus stood on his feet and dashed out of the room. he dashed out of the city itself and ran far into the fields. ...
once there he laid down within the daggersharp grass and stared at the shining half lit eclipse within the sky that was surrounded by dark black grey clouds of which no light escaped from... all was dark... all was black... ... dameus drifted to sleep.

Dameus woke up from his slumber. ... it was...darker...he thought. gales blew throughout the plains, the grass dancing furiously in its wake. dameus stepped up to his feet, feeling the hard push of the harsh winds, and squinted towards the horizon, searching for anywhere to go other than that foul ghost town and the enormous castle. ...it was hard to see within the dark stormy 'day' if it even was. finally dameus spotted a tower. it blended in so well with the sky and all of the greyish landscape he had to look thrice to make sure it was really there. he began his long trek towards the dark tower that loomed far into the sky.
as he reached, he noticed how much debri really was there blowing harshly within the wind. occasionally he got hit by a few rocks or had to leap over some lesser branches. all in all the tower was finally within his range of good sight. he dashed towards it, hoping to find some sort of refuge within it. once he reached the gates, he drew a dagger and placed the point on the door and forced his ear towards the pommel. ... he heard no distinguishing noises. he picked the lock on the door and finally swung it open, stepping inside. ... it seemed as if this was inhabited very long ago... webs would have been mistaken for decoration around the entire room. it was damp and smelled like rotten fruit. the tower was obviously made eons ago as some stones had come out of the wall, most cracked in half. dameus began to look for... ah...stairs.
dameus was nearly out of breath. he could have sworn this was the thirtieth set of stairs he had passed now. and yet...in front of him there still lay more. he groaned and grudgingly started his trek up the new set of stairs.
... dameus was at the top. he reckoned it was about... the fiftieth floor? it was a room with only large gashes in the walls for windows. the wind blew furiously in this altitude through them. dameus walked into the middle and decided he would stay here for a bit. there wouldn't be anything that would try and touch him here. he took out a bundle of twigs he had snatched up outside and lay them in the center as he began to ignite them. ... once ignited, he- gusts rushed through the room, the fire diminishing into a tiny little flame that licked the harsh air desperately. with this dameus cursed and decided in this weather a fire wouldnt survive at all. he had noticed his magic abilities had diminished immensely. how, he did not know. it must have something to do with this different realm. dameus picked up the smoldering twigs and threw them out one of the windows. he watched them fall far down... ever falling until their specs faded and there was nothing left for him to watch. he walked to the edge of the room and vigorously rubbed his shoulders with his hands, trying to keep warm with the freezing gales. dameus was suddenly knocked into the other side of the room, his side crushing into the wall. wincing, he shakily got to his feet to be knocked yet again to the other side. he got hit from under his chin and then as he hang in the air was forced face first into the floor.
And you Outsiders believe you can hide away and actually survive? Pitiful.
he was then pulled out of the ground and felt himself being swung in circles until finally he was thrown into the cieling to be sliced twice in the legs and he fell off. he fell to the floor and was kicked hard into the wall, blood covering the floor and the walls. dameus couldnt move hardly. he winced as he cracked open his eyes to see a dark figure. it was quite slim and it was cloaked in ebon black robes with a dark hood over its head. it seemed like a youth. it wielded nothing but a dagger and a book in the other hand. it bore an insignia on the side of its head. dameus could hardly make it out. the beings face wasnt shown through the hood yet it clinked every so often from rings hitting eachother that were strapped in a few places on the garbs. "Show yourself...coward..." the being laughed harshly, paining dameus's ears, and walked towards him with gripping hands.
I am not a coward, I just don't like to show others my true face.
dameus scowled as he felt warm blood gush down his face and his limbs from the wounds and gashes he had gained only a few minutes ago.
I guess I could let you see. You are going to die anyways, so what's the harm?
the being lifted its hand to the hood and slowly pulled it back as it fell onto her back. it was a lady. but... it was elasia fearis... yet...different. her hair was not silver. it was black and at the front a hint of white. the eyes shown fiercely, slits in the middle. the fiery glow that dameus had seen before was rather a dark grey. her skin was more pale and she had a dark smirk upon her face.
"So? Now that you have seen enough, it's time to get rid of you. Your decision for coming here." she ran at dameus with her dagger in front, dameus helpless slumped against the wall. as she leapt into the air time seemed to halt for a second. ... what would he do? just...let her kill him? thats all he could do. ... another dark figure suddenly collided with her in the side as dameus saw yet another figure dash towards him and heaving him on its shoulder. elasia was barraged by arrows in her shoulder and got heaved in her thigh by a blast of magic. dameus couldn't watch anymore. his body was to withered from the damage it took. he fell into his mind as darkness gripped him. ...
*** ... "Hello? Are you there yet?" dameus blinked. he was on the bridge between the tops of two towers... a castle in a way. but not like the dark crystalline castle he had seen protrude from the earth itself when he first found himself in this strange realm. a face hovered above his gaze. as dameus's vision focused, he could make it out. it was a man with light brown hair and kind eyes. he had a scar that trailed from above his left eye to the shoulder of his right arm. "Who are you...?" the man laughed and dropped dameus, his head meeting the ground. "You are fine. Get up to your feet so we may deal with you later." dameus, confused and zoned out by the pain all over him, stepped up harshly to his feet. he winced as he felt the sharp stings from the wounds he had endured. the man walked away across the bridge linking the two towers and dameus shouted out weakly to him. "What do you mean 'deal with me'??" the man halted and turned his head. "Just head down into the chambers already." the man began his trek again but then stopped and shouted out. "By the way, the name is Liinck." he walked away, leaving dameus alone within the cold harsh blowing wind. ...

dameus, pondering on the similar name between Link and 'Liinck', took a small walk around the top of the castle. he looked around the area, trying to spot the dark tower he had remembered being in previously, but did not see it. he turned around and began to look for this 'chamber'.
dameus was in the chamber. it was located far down inside. far below the entrance. once he stepped inside, the door shut and he was locked in. he tried to pick the door, but to no avail. cursing, he stepped around and sat in the corner. ... it had been at least five hours since he entered the chamber and was locked within it. ... suddenly the door burst open and another man stepped inside as the door slammed shut. the man was dressed just like Elasia was except he bore a different insignia on his hood. the face did not show, but he could tell already it was a man. it was a husky figure. muscles bulged. he reached for his scabbard and drew out a saber. it suddenly was shot with shocking lightning and dameus wondered if they were going to exacute him. ...he stepped closer and then whacked dameus with the blunt of the saber as he was thrown to the edge. "Are you so insolent as to not draw your blade and fight back?! BAH!" dameus then realised his daggers were still in their scabbards the man then rushed at him quicker than dameus had ever sean and dameus pulled out his blades, suddenly staggering with their weight in his hands. what had happened? he was weak! but... dameus heaved one dagger slowly in front of him as he was suddenly tossed aside and the man began to kick him with hard steel boots. dameus coughed up a bit of blood and wiped some from his nose. "FIGHT! ARE YOU A FOOL OR A WARRIOR? YOUR DECISION!" the man suddenly shocked dameus with a bolt from his saber. dameus slumped over on the ground, feeling helpless as he had lost all of his power he once remembered from the other realm. "By Excalcigar's might, what is this realm?" dameus weakly said. the man spat and whacked dameus in the side with the electric flat of his blade. "The gods do not reside within this realm! To them it is unreacheable!" dameus was immensely confused. "What do you mean?!?" "JUST SHUT UP AND FIGHT YOU INSOLENT CHILD!" dameus suddenly burned with anger. he called him a dumb child! dameus raised his dagger, staggering from the weight, but was suddenly kicked into the wall and barraged by the blade. "Pitiful. Just pitiful. I expected more of you, yet what do you give me? You give me weakness. What a fool" the man stalked to the door and heaved it open as he stormed out, griping and grumbling about dameus. ... how...how had dameus lost his strength? how... he was pitiful. he lost to a man wielding a simple saber! he could easily have taken those blows...at least he thought. dameus slumped out of the dent in the wall and fell to his knees as he crumpled up and tried to catch a bit of sleep. ...
*** ... dameus woke up as he felt a sharp pain in his side. "Get up! Either you will touch me with your daggers or suffer the consequences of being thrown out!" dameus groggily got up as he grabbed his daggers and pulled them out slowly, dragged down by their weight and gripping with all his might so they wouldnt fall out. dameus ran towards the man, his speed pitifully slow. the man laughed and knocked him with the side of the blade and leapt into the air, appearing behind dameus and stabbing him lightly in the chest. dameus scowled and cursed, whipping around and slashing wildly at the man. the man laughed and leapt above him and landed ten feet away with his blade pointed towards dameus. "Are you really as 'tough' as you look? Hm?" dameus cursed madly and angrily shot towards the man, focusing all his anger into one blow. ... to be tossed aside into the wall as he had been before. "I can beat you with a knife. And to prove it..." the man sheathed his saber and drew out a small, slightly tipped butter knife. "Let's see old man!" once again the man laughed and leapt at dameus, his knife in a ready position. "Anger does nothing in combat. If one lets anger consume him, he should just go kill himself and that would be sufficient to the effect." "SHUT UP!" dameus leapt at the man with his daggers as the man swiftly stabbed him in the shoulder and ripped out the knife smoothly. dameus fell to the ground as his daggers flew out of his hands and he was stabbed lightly on the neck and flicked all across his back. "How...What...WHAT HAS HAPPENED!" dameus clawed at the ground as he was suddenly heled by the knife at the neck. "You entered another realm and within this realm your 'strength' better fits the description of 'worm power'. Tell me, what brings you to this realm traveller?" dameus scowled and cursed wildly and after he felt he had cursed everything sufficiently he answered. "My name is D-" ... he couldnt say his name... "My name is Deh....De...." what...what was his name?! suddenly he remembered with a jolt. "My name is Dameus Exavior." "Ah, no it isn't. At least, not anymore." "What do you mean?!" "Are you so insolent that you have no idea what 'At least not anymore' means? Maybe we should throw you out." dameus's eyes widened at this. "...Have you seen any wyverns flying around lately? Does Elasia ring any bells?" the man laughed and answered. "No, child. If any friends came with you here then they are leagues, possibly continents far from us. I am sorry if you have lost a dear friend as you fell into this realm." dameus grabbed the knife and pushed it away as the man let go and beckoned dameus to stand. he offered dameus the knife and dameus looked puzzled. "You are going to begin anew here, so that means no daggers. You will work your way up to those soon enough, don't worry." dameus scowled and reached for the knife grudgingly. "So, tell me, why am I so weak and limited in this realm?" the man beckoned dameus to follow him out through the chamber and began to answer his question. "You were weak to begin with. If in your other world you expected your strength to be 'powerful', then you were highly mistaken. If me and my clan hadn't walked in and stumbled upon you, you would have been dead. Do not act here as if you have higher authority over the rest because they could easily kill you with a flick of their fingers. Take this to mind, Dimarex Exadon." dameus felt wierd with this new name they had given him. Dimarex Exadon. "I will...umm..." "Zodack." dimarex halted. Zodack...That was Link and his father.... ... "Yes, Dimarex. I am the father of you and Link." Zodack lifted his hand up to his hood and removed it, showing long amber hair and fierce silver eyes. his nose was pointed at an angle and his ears were pointed as well. dameus could not speak. ... a few minutes later he thought he found the strength to say a few words. "...Why...are you here...You...You died...the Pyroblade...He....He killed you..." zodack took a few moments and finally answered. "I was lucky. Just as he thrust his blade into me i summoned my strength and sent myself to the temple of the gods mirror chamber. it was there i suddenly met Dieck Undreth. He took me inside of the mirror and we fell into this realm. Aye, that was...Many years ago..." "but...but if it was many years ago... you...you died only three years ago... how..." zodack raised his hand for dimarex to halt speaking. "Minutes in the real world are eons in this realm....But we are trapped here for eaternity, Dimarex. We will be trapped here until the end of time itself...Until the very end." dimarex stayed silent as they kept trekking up the castle into the grand room. there was going cto be a recruitment meeting for Dimarex. dimarex couldnt help but suddenly ask. "How many clans are there in this realm? Hundreds? Thousands?" "Two. Us included." dameus was baffled. "Two clans?! What...What do you mean! if this realm is as enormous as you told me when speaking about my friend, than there has to be thousands!" "No. Only two. You see...Years ago seige, war, genocide... it all gripped the world with a dark hand... races backed into hiding, barely holding on to survival. The Aerons...The Elemenca...The Dragoons... The Elves, the Dwarves, the Drageroks... Nobody has seen them ever since then... they are on the very brink of extinction. The humans? they all exist in the two clans. This is the clan Eck'Tha, the Remnance Guardians. the opposing clan, the clan that summoned that lady to kill you, was the Skul'Kerath, Skeleton Riders. All in all, they seek to break siege on the last of life that stil holds onto this world. In the end, only one of our clans will win..." dimarex, soaking all of that information in, was baffled. two clans...the other races all on the brink of extinction... and the only handful of humans left were seperated in these two clans... "So...then what is with the dark crystalline tower that rose only...a day or two ago?" "Ah, that was the castle of Hendrith. It is the castle that holds the dark being Vectoroth... Tell me, long ago...When you were in the other world... did you by chance hear of the evilest being that ever walked and tainted the earth?" dimarex laughed and answered. "Of course, the Necromancer." "Are your people really that stupid? The Necromancer got his power from this being. In fact, this was the being the Necromancer was trying to summon." dimarex was surprised. he had never heard of this 'Vectoroth' in his entire life. as he was about to ask zodack about it, he realized they now just reached the massing room. there were about ten people inside. dameus then realized how extinct this world was of life. ... "Everyone welcome Dimarex Exodon, Tien Un Te Yer Doroque! Hakthra! Hakthra!" ...

"Dimarex Exadon, do you accept your place in the clan of Eck'Tha? Do you solemnly swear never to turn your back on it even when the worst endures you? Speak ye now or forever hold your secrets." dimarex proudly answered. "I swear my life upon this clan, never to turn blades on her." "Aye, than let the banquet begin!" cheers and toasts rang through the chamber and all of the people came to meet dimarex. he shaked hands with each one. one was named Tsiru Karioth. ... Tsiru Karioth, Liinck, Natomilan, Kiellera, Horektu, Dieck, Terran, Jodellu, Gorek, and Yuraneth. He was surprised at a few names because they resembled people he knew from the other world... and they had appearances like them as well... but their personalities were completely different. Liinck was quite battle wary and preffered heavier blades. Tsiru Karioth was shy and rather whimmed to stay behind from battles and heal instead of fight. Natomilan was quite...Unsure of himself. He loved the feel of war and always wanted to prove his skills worthy of the title. The rest were...Strange in ways, yet all the same were people. Dimarex got to know each one quite well and caught on a little more to what was happening in this realm so different from the world he knew. After dimarex got acquainted quite well, they feasted. Soon after dimarex filled his belly bulging full of food, he was granted his clan garments, or as they called them, Thaa robes. when dimarex put it together, it would have meant guardian robes. so he thought the name fit well. once he put them on, he thought they were comfortable and quite cozy and soft. he preferred them over all the heavy armor he was used to... that he could barely lug around now after his...'strength' was diminished to a puny size. he was to take private lessons with zodack for several hours of the day, he only would get three one hour long breaks. each one for breakfast, lunch, supper, and a few minutes of free time. the other clan members were busy designing strategies, building and crafting various items, and taming animals for battle. dameus was considered a page. he would get bruises each and every day, wounds and gashes were more than common. he could hardly bare the training. in the end, dameus found that it was quite tiring and maiming. every day dameus would beg ravaged by a knife, maimed by magic, and weakened by combat. he would eventually be overcome by rage and furiosity. sometimes he even would pass out from pure fatigue and tiredeness. it had been a month... two months... half of a year.... dameus could hardly remember link, kari, zeth, notlimah, basically everyone that was in his past world. he was learning everything about this world. that fiend that attacked him when he first arrived was a revenant. the grass wasn't even grass, it was a type of tree. he learned most of their language and grew to get used to their kind of foods of which in the other world would have been strange. yet the one memory he could never forget... the one he missed most... Elasia. He prayed to the gods, even if they could not reach him, he prayed she would be safe...that they would once again meet... he couldnt bear the thought that his best friend was finally... gone... he missed her... but he did not linger on the thought because for now he had to focus on another. training. he was not allowed in skirmishes. he was still an apprentice and would stay that way for a long while. he could finally wield the daggers and found them a bit lighter than when he first faced zodack. he had gone from a lowly page to a mediocre squire and was quite pleased. he was finally gaining a bit of strength back. He did not remember his old name Dameus Exavior. he had completely forgotten it and gotten used to Dimarex Exadon. ... his training continued far in and far off. ... *** "Hah! Old man, I have gotten stronger!" Dimarex was blocking Zodacks blows with his short sword with a strong arm. "Aye, you have grown Dimarex. But you are still lowly." dimarex was knocked to the side, but he leapt up to a ledge, balancing on his toes. zodack leapt at him, but dimarex leapt into the air and was knocking blades with him. "I won't lose to you this time, this I swear! Haha!" dimarex hopped onto zodack's blade and jumped onto his head and pushed off, leaping towards the wall. "Hmph! I see I must take you into the new section of training. You have earned the privaledge." dimarex laughed at this and landed on the floor. "Show me old ma-" dameus was suddenly smacked in the back of the head into the stone floor. "But Dimarex...You are too weak for this stage. You need a partner." dimarex scowled and cursed the old man. "No I don't, if I did then I would be weak!" dimarex leapt at zodack with his sword held out until suddenly it was flicked out of his hand, his wrist had a gash. suddenly scratches appeared all over him and dimarex took a blow straight into his forehead and fell to the ground as he was gripped by the darkness that sometimes greeted him on occasion.
***
dimarex blinked to awareness and hopped to his feet. ... Where was zodack?... in fact... dimarex walked to the edge of the top of the castle and peeked over it. ... nothing. he walked to and down the staircase, listening for someone. finally he heard something. it was a crash followed by a yell and finally another crash. dimarex drew his two daggers and ran towards where he heard the action. he saw Horektu slumped by one of the chairs and Tsiru Karioth and Jodellu fighting one of the Skul'Kerath. dimarex leapt at them as he was stabbed in the chest and thrust back. "Dimarex, flee! They are too strong for you!" Jodellu leapt at the being with her lance pointed out in front and stabbed it in one of the legs. the being scowled and shot darkness at her and she was thrown to the other end of the room as Tsiru slashed at it with her dual katanas. "No! I..I think i can fight this one." dimarex leapt and was thrown back again and Jodellu scowled, jumping at the being again. "No, Dimarex, you are too weak. We can handle this!" Dimarex, unconvinced, cursed and tried to parry and get behind the enemy at the same time. "sure...You could use some help." Tsiru knocked him back and scowled at him. "Do as Jodellu tells you! We can handle this! Now GO!" dimarex cursed and reluctantly left the room listening to the scowls and metal upon metal noises. dimarex reached the bottom and found a few more fighting yet another being from the Skul'Kerath.
"Go Dimarex!" scowling at them he asked them quickly, evading the attacks from the being, "Where is Zodack?!" "We don't know! Now GO!" dimarex dashed out of the castle and began to search for zodack. he was rushing around, watching the last few in the clan battling a few monsters and Skul'Keraths. dimarex, knowing the answer, ran away from the battle and continued his search for zodack. he never found him until he suddenly heard him shout. "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" jolting, dimarex leapt up about ten feet and hugged the wall suddenly noticing zodack matching blades with one of the Skul'Kerath conquerers. there were only up to three recorded that the Eck'Thaa clan knew of... "No, I will help. I am tired of being told that I am too weak." "SHUT UP AND FLEE DIMAREX! THIS IS NOT YOUR BATTLE!" dimarex clenched his fists in rage and fled as they all had told him. he ran to the animal chambers, waiting the return of the members... he hoped...

... it had been hours since dimarex hid in the animal chamber. he was beginning to get used to the stench from the animals and such... he wondered when he would find out... ... dimarex thought it had been long enough... he walked out to the entrance and peeked through. he heard nothing... the sky was dark as the half light from the eclipse shine over all... dimarex gingerly opened the door and walked out into the cool night. ... he peeked around and saw blood stained all over the ground, yet no signs of any of the members. dimarex began to walk around, examining everything to find any traces of footsteps. ... there was no- *** ... ...... dimarex groggily woke up, his eyes felt heavy. he glanced around. he was in a dark and tattered room that was hardly illuminated by a single candle which was next to him. he could make out someone sitting in a chair across from him, sharpening something as dimarex could tell from the sparks that occasionally spit out. "Finally you awoke." the voice...it was...like a man yet...quite dark and mistified. listening to him simply brought a mystery. dimarex tried to speak yet suddenly noticed his mouth was tied up tightly with cloth. "You will keep quiet, I am sure." at this dimarex suddenly felt a sharp tingling and pain surged through him as he saw string was cutting his skin. it was being tugged by the man across from him. "Razor string. Specially made for assassins...Best not to meddle with it." the figure tood up and walked towards dimarex. the figure was barely illuminated by the firelight. he was cloaked in a crimson robe that completely engulfed him. the ends of it were beginning to tear and shone with ancient tatters. the hair was jet black and covered one eye. the other eye was a deep green. it was a mysterious man from what dameus saw and as he would suspect was there to kill him. "It will be a pleasure killing you, but I first would like a few questions answered. It's a part of the deal." the man hunched in front of dimarex and looked him in the eyes with his cold emerald eye. he reached for the cloth that bound dimarex's mouth and ripped off and as dameus was about to speak he pulled the string more and dimarex stiffened, aware of the consequences. "Now when I ask a question, you will answer only that question. Am I clear on this?" dimarex nodded nervously. "Good. Now...Where are the other clan members?" dimarex suddenly felt fear. he didn't know. "I...I don't know..." "Fine, then where is Zodack?" what?! why didn't... "I do not know where he is either...I came out to look for him and that's when you captured me..." "Hunh...Not the answer I was looking for. Where is the weapons stash?" "I have no idea...I am still a pupil and they will not let me know any of these secrets...yet..." "If you are going to keep answering like that I might as well spill your blood now. Was the Skul'Kerath conquerer in a fight with zodack by chance?" dimarex nodded. "Yes, I saw them in combat before I was instructed to flee into the castle..." "Finally, a suitable answer... Last question, Where are they keeping the wyvern?" ... Dimarex fell silent... "...What do you mean wyvern...?" dimarex spoke weakly. "The wyvern they have been training for zodack to ride! we have known this for a while now. I am sure you would know something of a wyvern at least." dimarex could not move. he could hardly even grasp the thought. "No...They never told me...that...they were keeping...a wyvern..." the man cursed and stood up, drawing his daggers from what dimarex could hear. "Then there is no more use for you. I am sorry for this, but it is my duty and I am a man of my word." the man raised his dagger and suddenly dimarex spoke. "PLEASE SIR! please answer a few of my questions before you kill me! I...just want to know...a little more." the man hesitated and then reluctantly lowered his daggers. "Fine. I will only answer a few though." dimarex nodded. "...Is your name by chance...Zeth Gurido?" the man was silent. "My name is Zerith Guridon...Close...where have you heard 'Zeth Gurido' before?" ...there had to be some reason for all these name links... zerith guridon? how much closer could that get to zeth gurido? ... "Why did the Skul'Kerath Conquerer come along with backup and attack out castle?" "They did it so they could try and get a few questions answered of which I had to come and backup...for a little payment..." "So...Then why do you wish to know about a weapons stash?" "They would like a little extra weaponry. They wish to take away all artillery that would be used by any of the left opposition." "...Then... ... How did you learn about a wyvern? I never heard anything..." "Zodack and some of his clan members came and attacked the Skul'Kerath fort to find that a wyvern was with them and kept speaking jibberish like 'Where is Dameus?' and such. Zodack promised the wyvern to give her a home and aid her to find who she was looking for." ...Zodack... THAT LIAR!!!THAT FIEND!!! dimarex clenched his hands and cursed under his breath, making each one specifically towards zodack. "Why do you not bear an insignia? Aren't you in their clan if you're doing their bidding?!" Zerith was silent for a bit. "I do not wish to take up a side. I am merely a bystander who dishes out whichever pays me the best. They were the only ones who offered me a bit of business so I took up a small deal they made with me." "Ah...Well...You don't seem that evil as they are! Why do you wish to kill me?! I did nothing!" "It matters not whether its good or not. I am doing business. I am good enough to spare you these few questions am I not?" dimarex was silent. "Yes...But...Please, Zerith...Could you spare me? I now have some business of my own to attend to..." zerith placed his blade against Dimarex's neck. "I am afraid I may not. What business would it be anyway?" dimarex was silent and then explained everything about the wyvern and zodack keeping her secret. how dimarex had missed her so and how he had to gain revenge and relinquish her from her worry. "Aye, a good story...But I am afraid I may not lay off of my duty. I gave them my word, Dimarex." dimarex scowled. "I DON'T CARE! ALL THIS TIME I HAVE BEEN TOLD OF WHAT TO DO! I AM NOT A CHILD! IF YOU TRULY WISH TO KILL ME, LET US DUEL AND WE SHALL DISCOVER WHO!" zerith was silent. "Agreed. Then let us duel." ((lets d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-duel!!! lol just had to say that sorry)) ...
dimarex was opposite from zerith, both had their blades drawn. movement. dimarex leapt into the air, his blades pointed towards zerith. as their blades met, zerith was suddenly behind dimarex and flicked his shoulder with the dagger. dimarex endured the pain, but found it hard...it was quite a deep wound... he landed to find zerith was already two feet away with blades pointed at dimarex. dimarex parried, the blades inches from his nose, and finally he threw his legs towards the wall and leapt at zerith, spiraling towards him. zerith laughed and lowered himself and jumped with dimarex, just below him and moving in perfect unison. dimarex was baffled and got kicked into the air as zerith appeared above him and slapped him with his dagger's pommel. dimarex fell and met with the ground as zeth appeared only a few feet above him and dimarex found a blade in his neck and holding him down on his shoulder. "Either way, you will die Dimarex..." dimarex quivered with the immense pain that was building within his neck. the blood was betting blocked and he felt as if he could burst. zerith pulled out his blades and a warm gush of blood trickled down dimarex's neck. he raised his hand to his neck and muttered a few words as the wound slowly healed...yet blood still escaped. "You are going to die Dimarex...You will die." dimarex refused death. he had to meet elasia...he had to see her after it had been nearly a year... dimarex slowly got to his feet, staggering from the immense pain that was building in his neck and shoulder, and he sheathed his blade. "I refuse to fight any longer...I must get to Elasia..." zerith was silent. "I must kill you, sorry to tell you now." zerith dashed towards dimarex and dimarex then leapt into the sky, hardly dodging the flashing blades. "Ignorance." dimarex was knocked towards the ground and he met it with immense force. suddenly he felt the cold edge of a blade pressed horizontally against the back of his head. ... "Fine, kill me..." dimarex was waiting. then the cold blade suddenly left and he heard zerith say a few words. "You were not lying. Go to her...Find her and then I will find you and kill you...You must grow stronger, Dimarex...You are weak...Strength is needed within this age...heed this." with that dimarex heard footsteps...they grew fainter and fainter... finally, he heard no more. he had actually spared him... dimarex slowly got up and winced at the pain that he could now feel all over. he saw a dot far int he distance that kept growing smaller and smaller... zerith of course. he was thankful for the sparing of his life...but in the end they will meet again...it is inevitable. he had to find elasia. he began to search for the silhouette of the castle, desperate to find elasia as quick as possible. ...
he found it. its silhouette was very dark yet visible in the distance. he began his trek towards it, ready to find elasia... he was ready... ...
