Hurricane, as he called himself, motioned for the frightened guests to run out. The majority of them made it, looking clumsy in their weighted down ball gowns and vests. He didn't notice, however. A battle was at hand, and two very important people were in danger.

The shadow grins.
"Well, you can call me Degaro...."
Degaro looks around.
"Somehow I get the feeling we're forgetting something....Not that I would know....Do you know who the dragoon is after?"

Without turning his head to look Degaro in the eye, Hurricane slowly replies, "I beleive she is after the Count...although her bloodlust is making me wonder if she'll settle on everyone who was in this room..."
Out of nowhere, Kari launched from one of the crystals, a crystal blade in her hand.
"I don't think everyone in this room would be enough...how about everyone in the whole continent?!" Kari hissed, her voice contorted by a veil of darkness.
Hurricane nimbly catches the blade in his palm, flips it backwards, and delivers a blow to Kari's gut. She doesn't even flinch however, and has a cold, cruel look in her eyes.
"Are you ready to die...?"

Degaro unleshes a wind blast that could have pushed an elephant back a dozen meters, and traps the Dragoon against a wall, away from her crystals.
"Hurricane, is there anyway to defeat this maniac dragoon?"

((umm hmmm...THE CRYSTALS ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!))
She grinned and dissapated into a shower of sparkling dust.Another kari came from behind Degaro and pushed him into one of the crystals with her.
The inside of the crystals were as if you were floating in water but in air at the same time.Kari's hair was floating around her as she hummed quietly to herself.
"I'm not a maniac....I'm just following orders..."she smiled quietly to herself.

((Oh....OK.....  )) Degaro folds his arms. "I think I know you from somewhere.....and anyways, I thought Dragoons didn't follow orders, at least since the incident....." Degaro gives the dragoon a dangerous look. |

Degaro sighs.
"I can't remember why I wasn't there anymore, but I know it was a tragedy....."
Degaro floats upside down.

She looks away.She flips back upright and slams her nose into her locket."What the...?"She opened it.The dragoon she saw the other day was in it."Who is he...?and where did this come from anyway...."

Hurricane stared at the crystal the two combatants were trapped in.
Normally, he would help out, but since Degaro was a shadow, he figured he'd just sit and watch...

Kari watched him for a few moments then turned back upright as she was before.
"I tire of this.Now is your time to leave."
She flew at him in a blur and somehow instead of going out of the crystal from which they came in he came out of the crystal encased chandelier through the skylight and into the sky beyond.
