Kari was growing tired but she wouldn't let it show.Each blow she parried was making her grow more and more weak. His fighting style seemed familiar to her, well everything about him seemed familiar to her but she couldn't really place it.

Aeric could feel Kari slowly wearing down.
She would soon burn out completely.
A grim smile formed on his lips. This battle would soon be over.

She landed and stopped for a moment.Her breathing was a bit heavier than usual.Pain was shooting through her body everywhere at once.Kari finally collapsed on the ground in a huddled up ball of sweat and tears.

Aeric gently landed on the ground a few feet from her, twirled his blade once, and sheathed it with a metallic ring.
"Giving up so soon? Pity, I thought you were stronger. Do I have to throw you out, or are you able to leave on your own?" he remarked, with more scorn than he intended.

Aeric looked at her with pity in his eyes.
"You're the only dragoon left alive. It'd be a pity to kill such a piece of history."
Turning his back on her, he walked out of the room, his cape swirling behind him.

KAri stood up weakly.Teh pain still throbbing through her body and her heart.She dissappeared into a crystal silently.
