By gods what is this?! What did you do with Dameus?!
"I don't know... but... I do know... I think we switched minds..."
Just minds?? Bodies, too...
"So this isn't what Dameus really looks like under his armor?"
No...
"Well, this feels... strange and... amazing? I don't understand... It feels so... freaky to be back..."
"What do you mean 'back'?"
Scorn twisted his head, questioning Sean as well.
"Me and Dameus' spirits are connected, when Dameus was fighting Vesteroth in the Infinite realm, I was the one thing that helped him win... I had to sacrifice my spirit, my life, to join with his and give him more strength. It's... It's as if... I'm him, but I'm me. I... I have lived as him in his own mind, a different side, for this entire time... and... I don't know what to do..."
This makes no sense... Where's Dameus?
"He's at the back of my head, I can feel his thoughts."
"What??"
"I don't know! You think I know any better than you do after I awoke in a full suit of blood red armor after my soul has slept for about a year! This isn't the most comfortable thing to talk about, you know..."
"Well, I could care less. I've found my brother after sixteen years..."
I want Dameus back...
"Thanks for caring..." laughed Sean, used to being around dragons after his time spent with Elasia.
"So... What... did you 'switch minds' for exactly?"
"I don't know... Some... random reason?"
"I doubt it. There must be a reason."
Aaron's right... I think...
"Well, then... let me ask him."
Sean's face went blank, his eyes seeing into nothing.
Moments later, he blinked.
"Talk a little? That's what... Dameus says..."
"Wow. How wordy wasn't that one for someone of his verbal calibur?"
...Good luck with that, you two, then...
Scorn sighed and curled up in the other corner.
Speaking to Sean alone, this time,
I sense his soul within yours... I don't know why, but you two seem alike...
With that, he closed his eyes and slept.
Sean nodded and acknowledged this, then turned to Aaron.
"So, what exactly... has happened with you and... What's our other brother's name?"
"Eldar, silly."
"Don't blame me... I haven't seen either of you since I was born. I have a reason not to know."
Aaron sighed and filled his brother in on everything, Dameus in the back of young Sean's head thinking of how glad this must make Aaron. After all, Dameus wished he could talk with his sister and mother.
Scorn entered Sean's mind again, but in such a slithery way he did not notice he entered. Scorn drifted to the back of his head, as Sean had explained, and poked around in it, searching for the thoughts of his rider.
Dameus?
Yes? Dameus' words were quite sappy, very smooth and quivery.
...What's wrong this time?
You tell me. You know everything.
Me telling you things isn't helping you at all.
I'm too scared to try and find out, I guess.
The first step to getting rid of a problem is admitting your mistakes, is it not?((~some dude who's name I don't know))
Whatever.
...Alright then. Scorn left Sean/Dameus' mind and retreated back to sleep.
Thanks?... Dameus retreated back inside, too.
