It was a dark, moonlit night. Cambion, Zircon, and Dallben flew over Maud, all in the form of an owl now; they had change once darkness had fallen in order to see better. They circled around, high above the city, looking for the Gortek General that they were supposed to meet. After a while, Cambion flew down to Earth. The other two followed suit. All three of them changed to human form before they hit the ground. Cambion was dressed in his normal clothes but had made himself look a little older. He also now had black hair and a short beard. Zircon and Dallben had made themselves look identical, both looking younger as well. They now had no beards and made their hair look dark brown and longer. Both of them were in black cloaks. They all wore their hoods up. Cambion, Zircon and Dallben standing slightly behind him on either side, spoke to the human in front of them in his new deep bass voice, "We're here to negotiate the deal."

((hmm..this is odd..should we still refer to the planet on which Aldraa'Norrech is placed as "Earth", or something else?))

ooc- Umm.....Run that with our admin. xD
bic- Soldiers had sighted the birds before they had even reached the castle, and only a signal from one of the officers had kept them from shooting the Druidok down.
It was well known that most of the military wanted nothing to do with the heir. Corruption reaches all corners, it seemed, and here they were taking action. General Hofffenstopperklingheimer(*cough*) Harkin wanted the royal brat gone. It had taken him several weeks to find any druidok, never mind a rebel. They weren't that open with their identities.
The soldier that Druidoks approached now looked them over, lingering on their hands. He could seen no visible weapons.
"Follow me," he said sharply, turned and stalking away without waiting to see if they would follow. Hidden from the druidoks were a number of other soldiers, all of them ready for action if anything went wrong.

The three followed. Cambion inwardly grinned. They had seen the blumbering idiots hiding away a mile off. Of course, all three of them had swords under their cloaks. Not that they needed them. They could just change into animal form or, if it got really bad, just hide as a small animal. But they weren't expecting to cause any trouble, unless they started it first.

The room was simply furnished, for it was nothing more than a greeting cell for less-established visitors. The Gortek towers were surprisingly unwasteful of their room, and their were simply a few chairs and a single table, where a single candle rested in a single stick holder.
Harkin eyed his visitors with distrust but relief. He was glad they had come. He moistened his lips before he spoke. "The one you are to remove from the present is sketched here." Harkin had found the drawing in an artist's wares on the street, and it bore a startling likeness to the young prince. The one drawn in charcoal was thin, almost gaunt in appearance, and light colored hair pulled back into a ponytail. He could be no more than thirteen, perhaps fourteen at the eldest.
"You will be paid half the set fee before you leave tonight, if you will take the job. The other half will be presented to your company the moment I get the news from the street-criers that Jullian Yalle of Gortek House is gone. The boy and his escort will be passing through Seadale within a few days time. Get there, and get rid of him. I don't care if you drop him in the ocean, just make sure he NEVER comes back!"

Cambion nodded. None of the druidoks had removed their hoods "Agreed. But there is another condition we have. Word has reached my ears of a number of known druidoks in your prisons. I want them released. Of course, we will still require some payment, but it will be significantly lessened if this condition is fulfilled." Of course, no "word" had really come to him about druidok prisoners, but druidoks were common in jails, because of their race. He had no doubt that there were at least a few. Dallben and Zircon still stood beside Cambion, ready for trouble.

Harkin stared hard for a few moments, glaring at them, but it was a fair price, considering what was at hand. If he didn't do as they asked, these druidoks would easily take off and spread the word that General Harkin of Gortek was a traitor.
After a beat, he signaled with one hand to the guard at the door, who stared blankly for a moment but was too low down in the ranks to argue. Emotionless, he left the room. Harkin nodded.
"I'm sure your friends will meet you outside. Good day, gentlemen."

Cambion held up a hand. "Wait. I did say that we would still require payment. I want 25,000 gold pieces." He knew that whatever he asked for, he would get. If he didn't... well, the results would be disastrous for them. Despite this, though, Cambion asked, for what he thought, a reasonable amount. The rebellion could always use more money.

"Half now."
At Harkin's gesture, another soldier set a bag of gold on the table. It clinked rather loudly. The General smiled faintly for a moment. "Feel free to count it. If it is out of order, well....That would be my mistake."
No tricks, Harkin thought. He didn't want trouble from these creatures. "And Half when it's done, as I said."

Cambion nodded and took the bag. He and the other two druidoks walked out of the tower, for they didn't have to waste any more words of formality. Zircon motioned for the people who were standing nearby (who were obviously druidoks) to follow them. All three of them turned back into owls. The others followed suit, but in different bird forms. They spread out, so as to avoid suspicion, and flew back to camp.
