Zeren knelt down and carefully remove the arrows. "It'll be alright, Tifa."

Tch! Sienna thought, but not out loud, It doesn't matter if this man died now or old and in bed! A hundred years is nothing compared to eternity.

((I was kinda thinkin this was a little bit farther way, like out of human hearing range, so Tifa and Zeren can't hear Kadaj, Sienna, and Willow and vice versa, except for Kadaj of course))

((Alright, then! Let's start over!))
"I'm not with anybody," Sienna replied truthfully, "I've cut myself off from other people ever since I became a theif."

((Heh heh. She's not like a proffesional thief. She just steals from people to survive, ever since she took to the streets.))

((thanks. oh, and btw, Willow means how you spelled thief. you spelled it wrong))
Kadaj could tell she was telling the truth but his suspicion did not falter. "What are you doing here then?"

((Ah. I seez. I thought I was ripping off of her, or something. XD))
"I was leaving the Imperial City, trying to find a new place to rest my feet a bit," she said, "And I came across a man and a woman who I thought I might be able to steal off of, but when I realized that they probably wouldn't let that happen, I bounced...that is, I TRIED to. Then, that man got killed and you came up here, picking a fight with ME rather then chasing after the people who actually killed him." She smirked, knowing that this would make him even angrier.

ooc- No, no, you're fine on that. I just swear some people do it to make me annoyed. *glares at Kadaj and Link*
bic- Willow bounced uneasily from foot to foot, nodding in acknowledgement. A lost mark, she knew what that was like. A brief memory of her encounter with the Monarch Lan came welling to the surface, and she faltered in her movement.

((what? me? I have no idea what you're talkin about....... *tries to look innocent*........ oh, and btw, sorry I haven't been on in about a week. I've been really busy.....))
Kadaj sneered. "They have been taken care of. Now, unless you want to die too, I suggest you run away from here as fast as you can." He tried to mask the fact that he had left one survivor....... for his own reasons. He wasn't sure, but if his plan worked, he might be able to end what Cloud had started. "You have tried my patience long enough. You should be thankful that I don't kill you where you stand. Begone!"

Sienna began laughing quietly, then the laughter escalated into a cackle.
"YOU! Having the divine mercy to not kill ME?? I'm soooooo flattered! Don't you understand, you fool??? I shouldn't be alive right now!!!! If you truly had any mercy, you'd send me to where my family is!! I SHOULD'VE DIED WITH THEM!!!!!!! And here you are, going on about how I should be grateful that you didn't kill me!"
Tears rolled down her face as the uproarious laughter returned.

Kadaj froze. That was the same thing he had been thinking the last thousand years. First, just about his family. Then, three hundred years later, there was another person, as well. The look on her face in her last moments still haunted Kadaj. That had been the only time he, as a vampire, had shed tears, something he thought he was incapable of before that.
Everyday since then, he thought, Why am I still alive? Is life so cruel that it keeps me alive when my only blood and friends die? Of course, he would not kill himself or let himself be killed by someone else. That would be shameful. And he'd never met anyone that could kill him. If only I could die...
He stopped and crouched low on the ground, thinking. This was a chance for him to release someone else of their torment. But then again, who was he to judge who should live and who should die. This young one had many years ahead of her. Yet, he had lived long enough. He couldn't bring himself to grant her her wish.
"I'm sorry. I will not do it." He walked away.

Willow stiffened, instantly feeling a barrier go up between her and the girl. She was here to stay alive. They, for she sensed Kadaj's thoughts through his mask, no longer wished to be here. She paused for a moment before walking after Kadaj, catching him by the sleeve.
"Is immortality really that bad?" she whispered, her face hidden by her silver hair.

Sienna fell to her knees, silent as she watched the two of them walk away.
"Of course you can't..." she uttered.

Kadaj didn't meet Willow's eyes as he said, "Willow, the last 700 years have been torture. If I had a choice like yours now, and I could get out of death, I would not. You call it immortality, but I've been dead for a long time. Sure, I exist in my physical body, but my soul is gone. I no longer have a will to live, yet I live on anyway. So have been my years been as a vampire. The only chance I had of an enjoyable life died long ago." Kadaj let his memories fill his mind. His eyes had a far away look in them.
