Well, this is a common mistake we usually see happen on O.G. when someone registers.
They move to their profile, they click "Modify Profile"...And they choose their avatars.
This is a no-no.

Reading the rules is A MUST if you want to have the best time on O.G. that you can! If you read the rules (If you havent do so now please) you will notice that your avatar will be chosen for you/you can design your own custom avatar. If you already chose an avatar on 'Modify Profile' you have already broken a rule right when you started out! Oh no!! Don't worry.
This is usually okay if you just started out. Nearly everyone has done it when they began on here. Don't worry! Though that may go unpunished once, for future instances truly nobody likes it when others break the rules, do they? It's only a few lines you have to read. About half you can already guess because they are used on nearly every site.
If you disobey the rules, you can be punished. You are given warnings of course, but nobody likes warnings just the same.

Great!! Well, if you have read the rules then surely you read about something called 'classes' right?
Well, as much as O.G. is a normal random chatting forum, it's also a hybrid of roleplay posting. Well, your registered file of course has to be ready for any roleplaying(trust me, it is FUN!) you must have a class.
"But...Where do I go?..."
Ah, this has been asked MANY times. Here is a direct link that will take you to the list of classes, Classes, 2.0.

Now, this is just a list of every class CURRENTLY available on Oblivia Guild. There is also a list of RULES to go with the list of current classes. Here is a link to Class rules.

Once you have found a class THAT YOU CAN REGISTER FOR, you can pm your decision you REALLY WANT TO BE to Link, the site creator(also a dude who likes The Legend of Zelda
"HOW IN THE WORLD DO I PM THIS DUDE WHO LIKES THE LEGEND OF ZELDA??"
Tah-dah!

Once on Link's profile, click on the small icon of a file with some paper in it (directly under the word Sol- in his class name).
If you hover your mouse over this icon for a few seconds, a small box will popup under your mouse saying [send pm].
That is telling you IT IS THE RIGHT ICON. Click on it and you will be taken to a page you can pm Link at.
Pm him the class you would like, and, again, THAT YOU CAN REGISTER FOR AT THE MOMENT, and then click 'Send'.
Now you just have to wait for him to log-on and check his list of pms to soon find your hopefully polite pm asking him for a particular class.
He will, if you meet the requirements, give you the avatar for that class and it's name to appear under it.
Great! Now you can start roleplaying!
Well, that's really all that a newbie should know for getting around O.G.
Remember the rules, follow them accordingly, and poke Link(I mean...um...give him a cake! Yeah! Hehehe...) then you should have the BEST experience on Oblivia Guilds you could ever hope for.
