[glow=red,2,300]Kirian[/glow] This particular section of the sewers was unlit, but that was no problem to this vampire. He could see as well in the dark as he could in the dim afternoons that he chanced in the city streets. Kirian's eyes, usually a pale silver, gleamed a bright crimson. He moved like a liquid obsidian, enshrouded with a thick black cloak and a red one layered under it. His hair was a mess, and his scars showed up more than usual. He considered lighting a candle or something, then did so, drawing a long, slender piece of wax from his pockets.
With a few, well-chosen words, a burst of orange and yellow flame flickered at the end of the candle, and he set it in a wooden holder to carry. The last thing he wanted was to run into someone down here, because, after all, there would be questions. How hadn't he fallen in the sewers with no light to see by? He had to be inhuman. Sighing softly, Kirian moved on, his boots clicking softly on the stone floor.
A rat skittered across the ground, and seeking amusement, Kirian muttered a few more words, and several spark-spitting embers danced around the creature, sending it into a fit of alarmed squeals. After a few moments, the rat sat bolt upright and watched the flames with flickering eyes. The embers died down, and with a last curious squeak, the rat vanished into one of the many off-tunnels that honeycombed to labyrinth of sewers.

Arora sat grumply in the sewers. Why she had been asked to help and agreed to do so was beyond her. She sat with her bow strung and an arrow on the string. SHe had been asked to help catch a thief and they had said that they would pin him down this way and she was to shoot him when he did. She blinked her green eyes at the dark beyond her candle. Stupid sewers

Kirian walked easily, the caught the soft clicking of metal on stone in the next passage. Curious, he rounded the corner and spotted a girl sitting with a strung bow. The sound he's heard had been the arrow tip on the ground, before she'd nocked it into place on the string. Now, alarm edged his mind, then faded; He was already technically dead. What could an arrow do to him. She seemed more than a little annoyed with the present situation, and the vampire made an immediate descision not to say anything, to let her draw her own conclusions. It was, after all, more fun that way.
He felt his fangs extend only slightly, and the pang of hunger was fresh. Kirian hadn't fed on the blood of anything other than the sewer rats and what other beast he could find; Human blood had been devoid to him for a long while. But not yet. He wanted to know why she was here first.

Arora saw the other candle flame and casually placed her hand on a silver pendent that was spelled with that magic that kept undead away. She didnt rember what it was called and didnt care. She blinked at him and lost intrest in the matter if he was her target. Nope, not so. She rubbed the pendent and activated the spell. she now had a foot and a half of invisable magic around her. If he was undead then more than likely he would go away and not bother her. if he was otherwise then it didnt matter, she could take care of him. She nodded politly and put her hand back on her bow string

Kirian, mildly amused, felt the spell but didn't react. Silver. More likely to ward off his werewolf enemies, not himself, but the spell was another matter. He didn't worry over it though. He was very old for an undead, and he doubted the spell was resistant to power such as his.
"Awfully sad spot for hunting," he called back. "And if you're a ratcatcher, shooting them with arrows won't endear you to your clients. They like the rats alive, usually." Usually. He did when he caught the rats, to feel them squirming before the kill, writhing in his bare hands and making feeble attempts to tear at his skin, cause him injury.

"Well, im not catching rats." Arora replied grumply. she scowled down the tunnle she was by and then turned back to him "i'm helping the inaducat law enforcers catch a thief." She made a face. She would rather be out in the forest where she belonged

"A thief," Kirian repeated, eyes gleaming. If they were going to kill him anyway....Well, well, seems he wouldn't have to kill this girl afterall, if he got a meal out of the criminal. For a moment, his grey eyes shifted and glowed pure red, but it was gone in another instant. The girl scowled, though not really at him, and looked back down the tunnel. Kirian followed her gaze.
"This thief...will..." he paused, turning his head. "Killed, yes? I could handle it, if you would like. I'm very...adept."
bic- Can Kirian...err....*feels strange* Eat the thief?

ooc- Bring on the thief!
bic- "Hang around," Kirian said softly, unhooking the clasp of his cloak and dropping it to the ground. "This will be worth watching..." Quite honestly, the vampire had grown rather careless. He didn't care who knew what he was. Dying was just something he knew would probably not happen to him. It wouldn't be long before he was powerful enough to stand against almost everything. Allie...He brushed the thought away.
Kirian had his back to Arora now, his jaw dropped and his fangs extended. Blood. He could almost taste it already.

ooc- Sweet.
bic- It took seconds. Kirian had heard the rapid heartbeat as well as the footsteps on the stone long before the man appeared in the hall. He entered the pool of candlelight and that was all Kirian needed. Snarling explosively, the vampire hit him hard and pinned him to the wall. The man shouted in alarm, but Kirian was already burying his fangs in the man's throat, eyes gleaming like hot coals.
It was gruesome to watch. The thief gave a shuddering gasp, and Kirian's grip tightened, his nails going through the man's tattered tunic and into the flesh but not drawing blood. No. He didn't want that, Kirian wanted all the blood. Kirian heard the heart beat a few times, but it pumped nothing more, and the vampire let the body drop to the ground. The corpse was pale as Kirian himself was, and a small trickle of blood gushed from the slash on the throat, but otherwise, the thief was completely drained.
Satisfied, Kirian licked his lips and his fangs retracted. In a better mood and looking more human, Kirian turned to face the archer. Overall, the attack and murder had taken less than five minutes.

"Hmm.." Kirian took his thumb and wiped it away, then licked the blood off. The taste was metallic, but what did he care? It tasted good, that's what mattered. He had to say he was surprised. The girl didn't react at all as he'd thought, but Kirian easily shifted gears.
"You're very strange...not as much as myself, I suppose, but an odd one, for a human," he murmured. "I suppose you are human."

"yah, i am." Arora said. Then she shrugged "but come to think of it, I was raised by wolves. and i have never met a vampier before."

"Wolves." It was a bad habit, repeating what people say, but Kirian did it anyway. "Thin blood," he said casually. "Humans are much thicker...better tasting. I've never met a human who didn't consider me an abomination or a threat." Save one, he thought, but that was for a reason. Because she could see inside his head, when he wanted her too. "My name is Kirian. I know you are anxious to get out of the tunnel. I'll come with you." He didn't ask, he merely assumed he could. What would she do about it anyway?
