The jail guards handled Vincent roughly through the jail door and slung him in his cell. Vincent was quiet and didn't struggle the whole time. But inside, he was writhing with anger. How could I let some kid beat me?! I can't believe it! Soon, I'll be out of here though......

(about a week later)
Cloud was almost to the jail. He thought of the night before. He had taken the eye drops Kakrikya had given him and they had worked like a charm. It was a magnificent feeling, controlling all that power. Cloud banished the thought from his mind and focused on the present as he walked into the jail. He told the constable. "I want to see Vincent Ladron, right away." The consatble rolled his eyes. "And what gives you the right to waltz in here and start making demands?" Cloud stared at him for a moment. "I am the one who put him in jail." That seemed to turn on a switch in the constable as he realized that Cloud was, indeed, the one that had fought Vincent, and one. Cloud showed him Vincent's two daggers that were now his, but it was not needed. The constable was taking Cloud to Vincent's cell.
Vincent saw the "boy" as he had called him stop in front of the cell with the consatble. The constable let Cloud in, locked the door, and motioned a couple of guards over to the cell. "That won't be needed," Cloud said. The constable shrugged and walked away. Cloud walked slowly over to Vincent. "You were there in Bruma, weren't you? You stole my sword." Vincent gazed at him with pure hatred. "I have no idea what you're talking about." Usually, it took a lot for Cloud to lose his temper. But when he did, he got VERY mad. He drew his katana and pressed the blade up to Vincent's neck as he grabbed his cloak collar. "I know that you know where it is, and you WILL tell me!" The comotion had caused the guards and the constable to arrive.

Vincent laughed, maliciously. "Okay. I admit that I know. But I'm not about to tell you." Cloud pulled out a dagger that had recently belonged to Vincent. He aimed the blade at one of Vincent's thigh. "Okay, I'll just have to make you tell me." He was about to push the blade in, but the constable had known what he was going to do. "Oi, stop! Guards, unlock the cell door and seperate them!" The guards did as they were told, with some difficulty. Cloud quickly broke free of the guards and pointed his katana at Vincent. "He's stolen something of mine and I need it back." The constable stepped between Cloud and Vincent. "Now, let's settle this peacefully." He glared at Cloud. Vincent, the constable's gaze on Cloud, drew a hidden dagger- the one they had not taken from him. He put his hand that held it behind his back. "You will never get your sword back. And I'll kill you, but not before I kill everyone you know. And I assure you, I can easily figure who they are, where they live, and what they do. So, you better send time with them while you still can!" He slashed hard at the constable in front of him. The man's body fell to the floor, dead. He ran past the guards, either killing or wounding every one of them that tried to prevent hs escape. Cloud was behind him, hard on his heels.

Cloud followed Vincent out of the jail and into the street. He had vanished. There was no sign of him. Cloud hopelessly sighed. He got away! I wonder if he really can find out who I know and where they are. Well, better to be safe than sorry..... He had an idea. He pulled out the "Keeper" Zeren had given him. Before he contacted him, he looked at the sky. Almost dark. The days seem to pass by faster for a werewolf, he thought. He touched the "Keeper" and called Zeren.

Cloud put the "Keeper" away. Then, he got out the "Tears of the Moon Goddess" and put a drop in each eye. 38 left, he thought. He headed out of the Imperial City for Cheydinal. When Night came, he changed into a wolf. Luckily, he was out of the city by then.
