"That was Breeze, she's a prestiss in training." Kearen said. She sat back down "We where freinds when we where younger and she is really quite mean, as should i be but......" Kearen shrugged "Things happen, i was like that."

"Its really neat." Kearen whispered "ohh, wait lets have lunch first." She said as a nervous servent came in with some food on a plate

Dire waited until the servent had left then waited until Kearen had taken her food before staring at the plate. "What is this?"

"Food." Kearen said "its a little spicy, but it'll be fine."

"No, I mean..I've never seen anything like it before." He picked up a piece and looked at it before putting it it in mouth. "Gah" he said, then spat it into the cloth that had come with the food. "Where are the drinks?" he choked out. He didn't have much of a taste for spicy food.
And this food was spicy.

"Right here." Keren said handing him a cup of the bubbly drink. She shrugged, she didnt see what was wrong with the food and dug into her own plate.

Dire took the cup and drank some of the liquid. it soothed his throat, and the next bite he took of the food wasn't quite as spicy, so eventually his hunger won out and he began eating in earnest.
