This thread deals with the incident between the Archaeologists and Mathelar; how he got his daggers, Ackblay, and Itewhay; What exactly happened that lead to the destruction of the ruins, and Mathelar's travels after the incident.

Mathelar's Age: 17. 7 years before my Main storyline:
The Calm before the Storm...:
"Mathelar, lazy Khajiit!! Wake UP!!!" yelled a voice, as its owner entered the tent of the yelled Khajiit. Holding one of the tent flaps with his hands, sunlight entered hitting the face of Mathelar, who slowly was roused by nature, and the following yelling. "BY THE GODS!!! This is the Seventh TIME I've had to wake your lazy bum up!!!!" yelled the man, as Mathelar slowly got up from his mat.
Rubbing his eyes, Mathelar stared at the man, who glared at him before moving aside, letting Mathelar exit his tent. Mathelar slightly closed his eyes, as the full brunt of the sun's rays hit his eyes. Adjusting to the light, he moved to the river and started washing his face, to wake up.
After a few seconds, Mathelar blinked his eyes several times, before getting up and moving to the camp fire, where he sat and was given his breakfast, with utensils. "So, Mathelar, What do you expect we find today?" asked a young Argonian woman as she sat besides him, he shrugged as he ate.
She narrowed her eyes at him, Mathelar finished eating, and promptly said, "We'll find something today, probably by late afternoon." Feeling satisfied with the answer, the Argonian looked at him before looking at the ground, "Mathelar, do you know what day today is?" she bashfully asked.
Mathelar stayed silent for a while, an Archaeologist slapped his forehead during that silence, before Mathelar spoke. "I believe today is the day you joined us, Isn't that right Ainei?" Mathelar asked as she nodded, a blush creeping through her fair amphibian face.
Ainei had blue eyes; dull green amphibian skin; she wore a grey vest over her dull blue tunic, along with a pair of leather brown pants, with a hole for her five foot long tail. Mathelar wore a simple brown tunic, with grey pants with a hole for his five foot long orange tail.
Mathelar finished his meal, washed it, and beckoned Ainei to him. "Let's take a walk, shall we?" he asked, as she beamed. He motioned to the man who had roused him from his slumber, who nodded understanding his intentions.

A few minutes later...
Mathelar had brought Ainei to a secluded grove, near the river. The Grove itself was a marvel and beauty, it gave both prey and predators a place to live in a somewhat sort of peace, predators protected the grove from intruders wishing it harm, but Mathelar and Ainei only held warm wishes and prosperity to it. And as such, the unseen predators hidden inside the grove's flora, let them pass.
Ainei was dumbstruck by the Grove's innate and unnatural beauty, "Wow" she said, clearly awed. Mathelar smiled at her, and gave his thanks to the grove in his mind, for letting them in, Nature itself was more active than the majority of races of Tamriel thought. Only the Argonians, Khajiit, and Bosmer otherwise known as Wood Elves, knew about this, but withheld it, fearing the reaction of the other races.
"Mathelar...How do you know of this place?" she asked him, as she turned to him. He grinned a bit, "Nature, will help when it feels it's assistance necessary" he said.
"Help?..." she asked and kept silent, a blush crept yet again on her fair face as she finally understood what he meant for help. Mathelar walked up to her, "Ainei, I've known you for three years now...We've been through the good and bad" he paused. Ainei looked down to her feet, Mathelar's right hand brought her chin up. So he could look into her deep blue eyes, eyes which drived him wild and into restless sleeps, thinking of HER blue eyes.
"Ainei, even through all this, you've never left even when you could have...You have stolen something important of mine, As I also have..." he paused, leaned closer to her. Ainei was heavily blushing, Mathelar continued, "You have stolen my heart, gave my life meaning, and for that..." he leaned even closer, his furry muzzle inches away from her reptilian snout-like mouth.
Ainei's heart skipped a beat, as he proclaimed those three words she hoped for months, "I Love You" and claimed her lips. Her eyes widened, and slowly closed, as Mathelar's eyes also closed slowly.
He placed his hands gently, right on top of her tail, and pressed her body against his. She then swung both her hands on his neck, to balance herself, as they deepened the kiss.
