Kearen ran after him. She trusted his lead but was still uneasy about rushing the whole thing. wouldnt there be more people the closer they got?

((We're staying in the golden forest for now.)) Lan woke to a kick in the side. He grunted and fell to the side. His arms were bound behind his back and his legs were tied. He had to use his last resort. He muttered a summoning spell, but changed three words to create a spell that sent a distress signal to his last resort. Ta'

((Ok, heres some things you need to change... first there would be no chance od getting to Lan therre are way too many guards, secondly these arent bandits theyre soldiers, and also there are at least one hundred of them so thre would be a lot around, and they haven't set up camp, they're all marching.....lol. i would suggest reading the entire thread before posting, just so you know the facts.))

Dire stopped suddenly and pulled Kearen to the side of the path. Up ahead just over a small hill, he could see the backs of marching soldiers. They must be close, Dire shifted and looked to Kearen. "There they are, no doubt Lan is nearby."

Lan moved along, keeping pace with the soldiers around him. About an hour ago he had been given something bitter that had revived him from his semi-conscious daze. Then he heard shouting from farther back the column of soldiers. He turned his head and saw that a boy had walked up to the column and was talking to one of the soldiers. He wanted to tell the boy to run, but if he said a word, he would be rewarded with a kick to te side.

Dire stopped, and Kearen bumped into him from behind. He looked back her and pointed. A boy had approached the column, and was talking to a few guards. This might be just the distraction they needed to get closer to Lan. When most eyes were turned to the boy, Dire led Kearen around the soldiers and into the woods on the right side of the man made clearing. He then saw a flash of silver and looked in that direction. It was Lan! He was alive, but he looked out of it.

"Just because you're a natural part of this group doesn't mean you know everybody they've hired," Nate told the guard, making sure to sound as irritable as possible. "So you're telling me that they're hiring shrimps like you? There's no way you're good enough at alchemy, or any other healing art for that matter, to have been hired!" "They'll hire shrimps if those shrimps know what they're doing, and I can prove it to you if you want." This was harder than Nate thought, but the man obviously wouldn't question his superiors, so it was definitely doable. "I don't think your commander will be happy to hear this if I were to report this". He knew he had the soldier now, so he added to the effect by walking away. That takes care of that, now how am I going to find out what they're doing?
