with a crack of furious lightning, dameus found himself standing in his comfortable single room he called home... ... burning with curiosity, he strapped off the wrapped...thing...he stole from the skingrad kingdom and began to unwrap it. it was wrapped in quite the amount of leather and such. ... about five minutes later he had stripped it of quite a bit of the cloth binding it...whatever it was. ... dameus finally tore off the last layer of... ... dameus's eyes widened... ... he was staring... at a gold and silver pulsing dragon egg... the last dragon egg...in the world... ...
***
Dameus ran to his bookcase and began grabbing books that had information about dragons and their lives. he had to see if there was anything he missed while reading about them. ...
***
... dameus laid down the pile of books he had chosen to read up on dragons. after rereading them all over again, he felt surer this time. he walked up to the egg and carefully picked it up... it was warm... good dameus began looking around for something that would be good for a sort of next of which he could enchant to retain heat without burning so it may sit in an everflame and incubate. ... the book said a dragon never dies in its egg. the eggs are inpenetrable by any force and they will never die within the egg. it will hatch when the process of growth in the egg has surpassed by certain means... dameus picked up the leather that binded the egg a few minutes beforehand and enchanted the leather to retain fire and never be burned by it. then he checked his fireplace to make sure the everflame he had set so long ago had enough magii left within it to keep burning. just long enough for the egg to hatch. ... all was right. dameus picked up a large couldron and placed it over the fire and then srapped the dragon egg within the leather he had enchanted. he then set the leather in the couldron and charmed it with a flare. the fire raged under the cauldron and the temperature in the room increased ever steadily. dameus took out a few cooling elixirs and began drinking a few and then finally cast a ward around the fireplace so that the immense heat wouldnt spread any longer. now as the dragon egg lay over the everflame wrapped in its resistant garb and the flames heated ever so, dameus marveled at his luck. ... a dragon egg! the last dragon egg... ... and the colors...they were that of the armor of his real father. how much better could this get? he began pondering over what he would first name the dragon... ... he went over sets of names until he finally considered the fact of it would depend on whether it wass a male or a female. now grasping that thought, he began to think of how he would keep the dragon and feed it... he had to keep it secret... if it was the last dragon egg...people would siege just to have it. after the war in unwritten history, the shadows slaughtered every dragon and dragoon they could find. they found the nest that held the dragon eggs and began to kill off each and every dragon egg by destroying it with shadow magii. but zodack was the one to save one of the eggs...and then, once zodack died, he teleported the egg out of the reach of the shadows. he teleported it somewhere and it was picked up by supposedly the regal in the kingdom of skingrad. since the king did not want to cause any ruckuss, he never raised the egg and kept it in secret...he must have... dameus heard a squeak. ... he jumped to his feet and watched the egg tightly bound in the resistant leather... it squeaked yet again. ... squeak ,,, the squeaking became ever more common... a few hours passed by and it finally squeaked, but this was louder than the rest. the fire suddenly died out, how it did dameu did not know. the cauldron fell with a clang and the egg rolled out of the leather. the egg was a glowing amber, the silver veins were pulsing bright... ... another small squeak and he saw a bit of shadow moving in the glowing radiance of the egg. it moved every so often and finally he saw the egg begin to crack... ... the book said it wouldnt hatch...in at least a few- the egg began to crack even more...now the egg was decorated with lines and small indenations as one piece finally began to move up and down. up and down... ... it popped off. dameus could see a small dark nose poking in and out. now a few more of the pieces began to hover and fell off lightly. he could see the dragons head now as its legs began to push lightly on the rest of the cracks. the dragons eyes were closed and it was coated in thin membrane... the dragons legs finally pushed hard enough and the rest of the egg cracked and finally shattered around the dragon. ... dameus stared in awe...and in confusion. the dragon was peeping almost like a bird. it was roughly the size of his torso... its wings were about double its own length and dameus could see through the thin membrane tying the bony fingers that stretched through it...forming the enormous wings that arched over it, flapping a little to dry them off. it had small eyes. they were an amber gold and shone with a molten flame, a flame he had seen so much lately... it had two needle-like teeth pointing out of the front of the mouth. dameus decided to call them its foreteeth. its back legs seemed to have more muscle than its front legs dameus could immediately tell. the paws had five claw sticking out of each. four in the front and in the back there was one poking out. its scales were very soft, dameus thought from looking at them. they shone beautifully gold and brilliantly were shining amber. they shone in accordance with the silver claws and teeth on the dragon. the dragons wings, he now noticed after they had dried, were silver membrane. its eyes darted from place to place, ignoring dameus until he finally shifted to get a closer look. its tail, which was quite long and spiked, dameus saw, was flickering left and right. the dragon stared at dameus for a little bit and finally blinked, then turned away and examined the rest of dameus's one roomed house. it was quite small now he thought of it. he could have fit it in the sack he had stolen it in and still have a small amount of room for...lets say jewelrey. the dragon shakily began to release itself from the sticky membrane that once encased it within the gold and silver egg. dameus now noticed what looked like lava pouring out from the rest of the casing the dragon shook off about ten minutes ago. dameus looked back at the dragon and looked at its belly...he decided that it must be hungry. dameus cast a small spell so it wouldnt wander around too much, and then ran into the refrigerated room. he found some small strips of meat and then considered the fact this was a dragon, not a small lizard. he got a small ham and ran back to the dragon, laying it next to it. he then ran back and mixed a few liquids and made what he thought would be a healty nourishmental liquid for it to drink. he ran back with the liquid to find the dragon ate the ham bone dry and dameus was quite astonished. he laid down a bowl and then poured the liquid inside, bidding for the dragon to drink it. it couldnt see that well, dameus could tell that was obvious, so he tried to guide it with his mind. the dragon reached the liquid and began to drink softly from it. dameus reached out and began brushing the dragon with his hand, careful to do it gently. the dragon seemed to purr...it was a high rumble of sorts. the scales were soft like feathers...in fact it even had small tiny hairs on its head and down. dameus decided to check its gender. (okay im just not going into description) ... it was...a girl. now to finally think of a name... he wanted a name that he could give it... a name that would someday be famed and written in books. ... "What to call you..." he whispered to the small dragon hatchling. it peeped again and with a last drought finished down the liquid. it then stretched itself, arching its back like a cat, and it scurried towards dameus. it hopped on his shoulder and began to lick his ear. dameus laughed a little bit and finally went over to his bad escuse for a bed. he got out the leather garbs he had wrapped the dragon egg in and made a small nest for it to sleep on. dameus laid down in bed, laying the dragon on the nest. it began to turn itself around, sniffing the leather, he thought. finally it let out a small squeak of dissatisfaction and scurried to dameus. once again it began the high pitched purring and like a cat began rubbing itself on dameus. dameus laughed at the small amazingly cute dragon that had hatched on that very day... finally it curled against him and with a soft rumble began to sleep. dameus gently began petting it with his palm like before. ... "Welcome home, Elasia..." it let out another small distant peep and dameus closed his eyes... ... ***

dameus felt a disturbance while sleeping. he let out a grunt and turned to his other side of the uncomfortable yet sufficient straw bed. another disturbance. he let out a few more grunts and sleepily and slowly rose up on his bed and opene- the hatchling was chewing on his covers! he quickly got up and reached to pick up the dragon and as it peeped in confusion he laid it down next to the bed and began mumbling. "Don.....duh thet.............jut let me seep a lettle lunger...pleez....." he fell back onto his pillow and began sleeping once again... ... disturbance... he lazily rose out of his bed and grunted as he put his feet on the warm fuzzy chewed up carpet. he looked down at it and swore then finally rose to his feet and began to make some tea. the dragon kept scuttering around the place to explore it in every way it could. dameus, lazily grumpy after having only a few hours of sleep, burned himself on accident and cursed softly as he left the tea to sit for a bit. he began to walk into the refrigerating room and got out two hams and the substances to make the edible healthy liquid for the young hatchling. he mixed them, occasionally stopping to wipe the sleep out of his eyes, and finally with the finished liquid and two hams walked back into the room. he laid down the hams and poured the liquid into the bowl and walked over to his tea. he poured himself a cup and walked over to find a few books he would read. as the dragon slowly ate, jerking when swallowing the ham in a way dameus thought dragons normally ate, dameus sat down and opened the book up to the previous stopping place and began reading. it was on a bit of history as dameus commonly read. occasionally sipping his tea. every so often he would laugh as the dragon played in the room, but it would occasionally hop onto his shoulder and either lick him in the ear, sleep, or stare at the book as he was reading it. dameus, after satisfied with his reading and done with his pot of tea, he took the dragon on his shoulder and they went out into the mountain, playing and also exploring so the dragon could see all that was to see. dameus sometimes would just stare at the dragon and marvel at its grace. whenever they came near something like a bird and such the dragon seemed curious and like a cat would 'play' with it.
days like that continued for quite a while, the dragon growing quite rapidly. it would read over his shoulder even more now and dameus would read to it sometimes. the dragon was beginning to eat even more and dameus wondered if soon it would have to live outside. ... but it had to stay secret. nobody could find out. he would read as much on dragons as he could. but for now, his main priority was raising the dragon so that it would grow a strong enough bond with him and that he was sure it would be able to survive as any normal dragon, just in case something were to happen. after a while, elasia began to flop out books from the bookcase and plop them open, just gazing at the pages filled with words. when they went outside it would occasionally leap into the sky and fly a little bit as dameus watched with happy ees. it was a glorious sight to see a dragon take wing in the sky. if only he could fly away...fly away from life...from the world... ...
it had been quite a while now. the dragon was roughly the size of a youth. its small peeps werent peeps anymore. now it would either grunt, 'roar' in a sort of lesser way, or purr with a low rumbling. its wings were the span of about two full grown men with their arms stretched above their heads and feet stretched fully down towards the earth. now it didn't live in dameus's house, it would roam the outside...but dameus did his best to teach it to stay. out. of. sight. he impressed this on it quite a bit, and the dragon seemed to follow as he said... at least dameus hoped. it was extremely important for it to stay secret. if anyone were to find out about elasia... thats why dameus had to make sure it stayed as secret as possible. the dragon would still come in dameus's house quite often and they would just sit looking at books. dameus still often read to the dragon. he even began to explain things to the dragon. he enjoyed having someone if not anyone to talk to about anything and not worry a single bit. even if the dragon weren't exactly a person, but dameus considered it one. dragons were very intellectual as he had read in books. rarely he would go outside during the night and he'd take walks with elasia. dameus could not have been any happier...it was the happiest he had been in years...
***
Dameus decided he would leave elasia for the day and go and talk to his friends, even though elasia seemed to strongly protest until dameus finally calmed her down. ... *dameus exavior has left for the jerall mountains*

dameus reaches his house and calls for elasia with a small whistle call he taught her. he heard a distant roaring reply and within the dark he was standin- dameus found his head in the dirt as the dragon was hunched over him on his back nipping at his ear as she normally greeted him. dameus laughed and she hoped off. he got up and he led her to his house.
dameus picked out a few books to read and set them on the counter and began to brew his tea as elasia was cleaning herself. finally dameus finished with his tea and sat down to read his book. ***

dameus finishes reading as well as drinking his tea and notices elasia is fast asleep as her scales shine beautifully... dameus smiles and strokes her as she begins her low rumbling of which one would hardly consider a 'purr'. he leaps up and runs towards the jerall mountains. *dameux exavior has left the valus mountains for the jerall mountains*

... ... dameus was fading in and out of his mind, what was happening? wyverns couldn't communicate to anyone other than dragoons... full dragoons, like kari and link... ... he decided to...try and speak to elasia...if it would work... ... he focused on the image of elasia, he tried to reach out with an invisible hand to her mind... ...he felt very absent...as if...whilst reaching out to another mind, he was reaching over the top of a building at the very edge of the roof. ... he felt around with this....hand... and finally brushed against something. he couldn't tell if it were the right mind or anything... he wasn't even sure if it were a mind altogether. ... he would try. he focused, his face straining as his thoughts danced around wildly and he finally felt a link. ... ... Ela*ia? I* th** you El**a? ... he wasn't focused enough as he thought to wherever he was touching with his mind. he waited a few seconds for a reply and finally got one. Yes, it is me Dameus. I am surprised you were able to attempt this and make it on your first try. I have been waiting for a long while. dameus quivered as he heard the voice of the small hatchling he raised to the size of a man only a while past. He thought he felt her chuckle into his mind and finally he replied. Why did you n*ver speak to my *ind unt** now? once again she seemed to laugh and dameus thought it must be a little amusing at the least. she was very intelligent. he could tell from the beginning. Well, I didn't know if you were ready to yet or not. I felt it right to speak to you within the jerall mountains. You get a bit...on the soft side, if you will, at times and I guess I felt that you needed a little something to get you started back up. Dameus blinked at this. ... I...I never have had someb**y to...talk with...before dameus fell silent as he shifted on his bed, feeling up for a cup of tea right at that moment. I know, Dameus. I sensed it from the beginning. dameus finally sat up and walked to make a cup of tea for himself. So how has it been outside today? It seemed a bit stormy up there...You can come in if you like, it's warmer in here than out there in my opinion. dameus once again heard her laugh. he smiled at this and boiled his pot of tea and finally decided elasia might like a drink as well. after his tea was piping he set it on the counter and went into the refrigerated room. he found some of the mixtures that were edible and quite nice for a drink and mixed up something he thought elasia would like. he then asked. Would you like some ham? I know you have had all day to catch a little game. he could feel her as she decided and finally got an answer. No thank you. Besides, if i need something to chew on i always have your bed. dameus laughed and poured the liquid into a rather wide barrel. he then walked to his tea and suddenly thought to himself. he hadn't eaten in DAYS dameus suddenly was cloaked in ravenous hunger and ran into the refrigerated room and grabbed the ham with all his might, heaving it out to the main room and tossed it in the fireplace. Are you alright?... dameus used all of his magii he could think of to cook the ham and qhickly levitated it out and sliced it into strips, laying five enormous slices of ham onto a plate. he grabbed a fork and ravaged the ham, not leaving a single piece untouched. I'm....Fine...Just....Very...Hungry... he felt a bit of mocking tone of mind from elasia as she replied. You humans if not Demi humans are so lazy. Don't you ever hunt your food with your bare hands... Well....that would'nt exactly work... Still, you humans are quite lazy... dameus paid no attention as he scarfed down the ham and grabbed three more pieces, snarfing them with a gulp every second. finally dameus was done with his ham and, picking up his tea, walked towards the door and opened it as elasia leapt onto him, his tea hanging loosely in the air as dameus quickly cast a hovering charm on it. elasia as usual nipped at his ear and dragged him by his collar elsewhere. she dropped him as his head hit the ground hard and she began chewing softly on his arm. I always wondered if you humans were any good... dameus laughed and waited for elasia to stop her gnawing... ... fifty minutes later dameus was plopped on the ground after his wyvern friend chewed his arm, his torso, both his legs (wondering if one would be any better than the other), and lastly his head. it was wierd when she was chewing on his head because he could smell the stench of meat from her breath and occasionally a bit of drool would drip on him, of which he would wince as it was very wierd knowing your head was almot fully in the mouth of a wyvern. finally she released him and boredly shoved him as she walked to the fireplace and sat in front of it. And you call these puny fires warm... dameus got up to his feet, acknowledging the slobber that was now on his slightly torn sleeves, his shirt, his hair, and both of his legs and grabbed the tea as he walked back over and lightly sat next to her, percautioning to make sure he didn't spill a drop of his tea. dameus then pulled out his trusty ancient history book and began to read, talking to elasia at the same time as she gazed over his shoulder. he could feel her long scaley tail as it whipped around and began to wrap around his arm and such every so often. elasia occasionally would blow a few gusts with her wings of which dameus disliked a little bit as he was trying to read. finally she laughed and, so he could hold in the heat better within the slightly cold one roomed house, drew him in to her side with her massive long right wing. dameus then rested his head on her shoulder as a pillow to make it easier for reading. dameus finally drained every drop of his tea and elasia was done with the substance dameus made her. dameus found a stopping place within the fifty pound book and reached over for an abbaccus and his humongous notebook. When he first purchased it, it was ten pounds. Five months later, it is now thirty five pounds hopefully that would suffice as an explanation of how much he wrote in it. he began to do a few equations, writing the results down in his book full of his notes that he used for proper mana distribution. elasia would fill him in every time he forgot one or missed his place on the abbaccus. she also at times would talk to him about a new formula she had just thought of. dameus would go over it and most of the time she was right and he would gratefully write it down, proud of his intellectual close friend. occasionally she would ask him questions of why he did this or that and dameus would answer her as best as he could, often losing himself in explanations. she would listen intentely with eager ears and dameus was so happy to see this. dameus began to write more slowly now as his mind was beginning to lessen in pace. he was tired as well as elasia. yet dameus was persistent in his writing and solving, and finally his head rolled on elasias shoulder, moving whichever way she would. it was then she closed him in with her wing and her head finally sank as his and they both gratefully welcomed in sleep... ... so now elasia and dameus lay on eachother, sleeping behind the ever burning and dancing fire that was feeding on the pitiful excuse of a log now... dameus for once had dreams that weren't as sad and ghastly as he had before...for once he slept peacefully... how glad dameus was... he hadn't been this happy in... years...

*** ... dameus stirred. he felt pressure on the back of his head suddenly. ... it felt wet...uncomfortable and grumpy he shifted to the other side. he heard mumbling. he grunted. the mumbling was louder yet again. he grunted. ... DAMEUS! dameus bolted upright, to find he was halted as elasia's head was open and if he rose any further he might feel some... sharp pain in his forehead. If you don't feed me I could always improvise. dameus laughed stiffly. "Fine, fine. your way always goes first, milady." Good, I thought you would say that... Though I want to bite you a little more later today and see if you humans taste as good as you are chewey. dameus laughed and walked over to make his tea. I'm not joking, I hope you realise that by now. ... dameus laughed stiffly again and then finished his tea. he finally noticed he hadn't drank water in a while as well. he walked to get one of his skins and took them out of the cabinet (of which was quite flimsy and dusty). he drank deeply from about two of them and finally, satisfied, walked over to the refrigeration room. he pulled out a few large pieces of ham, noticing how soon he would have to go and steal more, and threw them on an enormous skillet into the raging fireplace. he sat down, waiting for them to cook, and looked at where he stopped last in his notebook before sleep blanketed him and both he and elasia dreamt deeply into the bright morning. once he found his place he lightly set down the notebook and walked towards the fireplace, turning the steaks to their other sides. elasia occasionally flicked her tongue to taste the air wafting from them. once the steaks were finally cooked to their fullest dameus stepped down the fire and pulled out three enormous pieces for elasia and tossed them to her. she caught each one in her enormous sharp toothed mouth and chewed them with gusto. dameus smirked at this and grabbed his spices and began to season his steak and started to make some gravy. then he finally thought to himself. WHY NOT MAKE BACON! he had not had bacon in forever and it was his most favorite breakfast, lunch, and dinner item. he focused his mana into his fingers and pointed them to the two enormous pieces of steak. suddenly they began to split and slice in long thin pieces. dameus, giddy he was going to have his most favorite food, made his special gravy he usually put with his meat. elasia sideglanced and then mocked with her eyes and stared back at her steak she chewed up finely into pieces within her massive mouth. You call those filling? dameus laughed and continued with his breakfast that to him was fit for the most royal of regals. *** dameus sat eating his crispy bacon and drinking his fine cup of tea while at the same time draining the knowledge from yet another history book into his head. elasia was cleaning herself, occasionally making sounds with her tail as it whipped in the calm slightly cold air. finally dameus finished reading the book and levitated it back to the bookcase, finishing his last strip of bacon at the same time. he sipped up the last few gulps of his tea and asked elasia if she felt up to a walk. she waited a few moments, finishing up the touches on her bright golden scales and brilliant massive silver wings. she yawned once more and stretched, her back easily brushing the top of dameus's house. dameus walked up to a mirror and began to brush off every scale he could find until he was interrupted by elasia. You can't hide it forever. They are bound to find out. at this dameus lowered his hands for a few seconds, shielding his eyes and face. he then drew them back up and walked to his cupboard of which he kept everything: his most favorite books, his wallet (that he hadn't used in ages), a bag of some mystiseeds, some dustbombs, new headbands if he ever needed them, some furnished boots, a few lockpicks, the gauntlets with his old family crest (of which he remodeled quite a while after), and many other trinkets and doohickeys he had. many of which he hadn't touched for years on end. also stuffed in the drawers at the bottom were his clothes of which he had hardly any of. he had a few stored capes, some socks, dark and light clothing, a few leather gloves, his reading glasses, etcetera etcetera. he grabbed some new dark garments and took a few seconds to change, waiting for elasia to look away when he did. once he finished changing he grabbed his regal embroidered coat and his long wide scarf. it was his scarf from childhood as well as his coat. he hardly believed the crimson gold trimmed coat would still fit him if any. elasia commented of which dameus paid no attention to and he grabbed some dustbombs, noticing he was running out in his pockets. dameus then walked up to the door and opened it, stepping out into the cold air of the day. in a few seconds elasia followed, acknowledging how 'small' the doorway was and how dameus should widen it. they began a trek through the trees and such, talking about whatever random thing they could talk about. snow was falling at that moment and dameus took a few seconds to try and use a bit of it for water magii practicing...until elasia discouraged him for it would just make ice and stick their feet on the ground until the snowy days passed and it all melted away. at this dameus decided he could just blow them with his fire to yet be discouraged again as someone might come and find them as nobody likes to see fire near a woody area. dameus couldnt avoid how she was right and so they kept walking. Dameus...I feel it would be better that you tell them about me instead of them finding out about your 'little secret'. I...just wanted to get that out. dameus halted in his tracks as his hands clenched and he breathed hard in the cold winter air. elasia nudged his head up with her nose and dameus stared into her eyes as she gazed back. they sat there like that for a few moments... ... "i...they would take you away though!..." Dameus, I am not a small cat! I am a great wyvern! You know as well as I that even though we physically part, we are always mentally together. dameus was silent. I know you do not want to, but sometimes it matters not. You have to. elasia waited for him to finally speak patiently. "...alright...i will tell them..." at this, elasia smiled with her eyes as the edges of her mouth arched up slightly and she purred. Good, I hoped you would say that... dameus and elasia stood there, held in the moment, and then they both walked towards the jerall mountains until suddenly dameus stopped. Do you think you feel up for flying, by chance? *** dameus was laughing, a bar of pure joy forged out of himself. the air was so frigid and dry that he had to speak to elasia with his mind. So, how is it like when the night is stormy within the sky? elasia seemed to chuckle, of which dameus felt as a low rumble that rippled from her chest. Well, its very traumatic at times! You tingle every so often as a bolt of lightning streams through the sky! It is amazing yet at the same time a bit frightening. dameus laughed. Frightening? To you? I never thought I'd see this day! at this elasia suddenly shifted her position as dameus staggered on her shoulders and grabbed onto her neck with his arms, begging for her to fall back in her normal position. Say how sorry you are for saying that and also flatter me and tell me how amazing it is to be flying and how once we get back home you should bake me a feast fit for ten kings. I'm waaaaiting. dameus scowled and finally replied. I am sorry. It is the most amazing thing to be flying and once we get back home I will make you food...good food. Oh, and tell me how pretty I am. dameus scowled yet again and replied. You're flattering. Now can we land before my insides end up on the ground when we land? It'll save us the trouble. Maaaybe....Oh you humans, ugh! Fine! Hold on!You do that good enough, that is for sure. at this dameus laughed and replied back with a "heeey!" and finally she dived, caught air in her wings, and they landed at the summit of the Jerall mountains. *dameus exavior has left for the jerall mountains*

Dameus and elasia soon arrived at his house, quickly entering before the demon within the demon empire would notice them. as elasia stretched herself, her back brushing the roof, dameus emptied his food filled bags into the refrigeration room and took the potions, substances, medicines, herbs, spices and such into his Apothecaric and Experimental room of where he kept all of his potional related items for further study and ailments. he then dumped out the books and picked out the few he would read right away and flipped his bookcase to the otherside to where it was an entire new bookcase. it was at least one hundred feet long. dameus's house was about two hundred feet long excluding his two secondary rooms. he began to alphabetize the books and put them all in order, excluding the ones he wanted to read at that moment... as well as the few elasia wanted to read a little bit. it was some books on dragonic history and relations between them and the dragoons. once dameus then took the last of the things he had stolen, the ones that were mainly for show, amusement, and such he put into the wardrobe which was quite large for an ordinary wardrobe. he walked back towards the books he had picked out and fixed a cup of tea and then moved and laid his back on elasia's belly as she was curled around him. he brightened the fire, now which was fed with new magical logs as well as the candles that laid around the room. they would discuss every so often what they had just read, be it interesting, confusing, or just something to say. at this, dameus was glad to read a different book after he had finished off his current bookcase.
he and elasia had finished their books and dameus decided he was ready for something else to do. ... he would design a few potions and sell the formulas to the local apothecaries.

Dameus heard flares and explosions coming from the demonic empire. he and elasia were quite nervous now...The fact they were under the ground and if it collapsed, not only would everything be lost, but they might as well. dameus decided he would begin to read about the pyrodemon clan and their dark history. ... he began searching through his archives, wondering when he would stumble upo- ah....here we were... dameus gingerly pulled it out and wiped off some of the crusty dust that had settled on it from when he first bought it. he walked over to his chair and sat down, lighting the five candles next to it. he then opened the book carefully as dust flew off and he began to gently turn and read pages. ... ***

... Dameus opened his eyes. ... He as in a room. On the far end there was a fire burning with a kettle of blackish brown metal gleaming hot over it. He was laying on a bail of hay (of which he thought was most uncomfortable. How could anyone sleep on hay?). There were two open gashes on opposite sides, covered with dangling leather. The room's edges were made of rock and there was an enormous bookcase lining the length of the wall. In front of the fire, curled and tongue lolling, was Elasia. She was fast asleep from what Dameus could tell. Where was he? With a bolt of awareness, Dameus realized he was...in his room. His room. The room that existed in the other realm. The realm with his friends. Link, Kari, Zeth, Notlimah, Leroy, Locust... Everyone... Dameus yelled at Elasia with a burst of excitement We're home! We're finally back!! Elasia, we made it!! Elasia's eyes twitched and she spoke groggily. Sleepy...head... Dameus leapt off his bed and darted to his bookcase, checking that all of his books were still there. What are you so happy about...? We're back! After being in the infinite realm for so long...We're finally back! No. You're finally back. Dameus was silent. What do you mean? It has only been a few days, hasn't it? No, Dameus. It has been nearly 6 years in this realm. Dameus did not speak. His mouth gawked at Elasia, his eyes as wide as coins. What.....What....has happened since I've been gone...? Truly, everyone has nearly forgotten you. You are merely a memory, Dameus. To you, it has only been maybe a year. To them...It has been very, very long. Dameus lay motionless. His energy had been wasted. Dameus turned and walked over to one of his broken mirrors. It was coated with layers of dust of which he blew off with a small pinch of wind from his fingers. What he saw...He couldn't believe. He was no longer the young Dameus he once was. He looked like he was thirty years. His chin was spiky with short pieces of hair. His hair, itself, was quite frizzled and tangled. His eyes were very age worn and sagged, fierce with burning rage that came naturally. His body was husky and very muscular. After all of his training in the infinite realm, this is what it looked like now. He was no longer the Dameus everyone once knew...Now he was someone completely different. Shocked, he silently walked over to his bed and laid down. Elasia...How can I return? How...Rah!! Dameus in a blur of motion pulled out a dagger and flung it towards one of his glasses full of Tulman rum. It shattered, the dagger shaking in the wall. Elasia uncurled and stretched. Rising to her feet she padded over to Dameus, nudging him with her nose. All you can do is walk towards them and greet them once again. Six years isn't that long. In the infinite realm, for you it was, but truly...it isn't really. Dameus cursed under his breath and rose in his bed. Elasia...I can't. Not after what I had learned. Six years is a long absence. What am I supposed to tell them? I just happened to disappear for six years and now I appear looking like it was thirteen years ago. That's how long it was in the infinite realm, but over here...I...How am I supposed to do this? How?! Elasia sighed and stretched along the edge of his bed. However you feel, Dameus. with that, Elasia fell asleep, leaving Dameus all the time in the world to think everything over. ***** Dameus silently got out of his bed and picked up the Eck'Thaa cloak that was laying on the floor. Remembering all of its fond memories, he threw it around him and pinned it's buttons together. If one wore an Eck'Thaa cloak, none could realize their identity. It protects them from any mental tapping unless the wearer allows it. Enhancing his powers due to it's unique abilities for every different person, he dashed out of his house towards wherever. And behind the black spot that kept his face from being seen, crystal clear drops fell from his eyes. *Dameus has left for somewhere*

Dameus arrived in his house and tore merely everything into shreds. He threw his wardrobe to the ground and blew it up with a spell, searching for anything of use...nothing...He went towards his bookshelf and picked up book after book, skimming through its pages and tossing it behind him if it didn't have what he seeked.
Wyverns and how to raise them
Elements and their bindings
How mana works
Equations for life
10,000 ways to kill an orc
Political talk-- Our place under the hand of the king
What are you?
How to destroy your life in fifteen minutes
Powerful legends and their rise to power
Mary and her little drago-
Dameus in a blur snatched the book 'Powerful legends and their rise to power' in midair over his shoulder and skimmed through the first few pages for an index.
Emperors--Regal kingly warriors who rule over an empire with royal prowess Monarchs--Very powerful warriors that rule over certain kingdoms throughout the continent Roguelords--Rogues that rule over the kingdom of thieves Elemental Sagemasters--Old elders who have immense knowledge of magic and use it properly Dragoons--An old race of dragonlike humanoids The Draconic siegemaster--A feared warlord who rides a dragon (or draconic beast)and fights with it not only in flight but on foot as well (there has only been one recording of a siegemaster throughout the history of our continent. He was at one point feared amongst us for he could merely take out an entire castle full of warriors in only a short matter of time)
Dameus had found what he was looking for. He locked and sealed the doors and began reading through a few chapters about the Draconic Siegemaster. ***

From what dameus had read, the draconic siegemaster was a dark being who ruled over all with an evil hand. Only few would stand in his way--most were slaughtered by his dark blade (or his dragon). His armor was enchanted by the god Vexxus to give them immunity to normal blades and bladework. Only blessed weapons were threats. This was what dameus would work towards. That he would become for revenge's sake. But where to get a dragon? ...If he remembered from his books, dragoons were the only race ever to truly have contact with dragons... ... He would also need armor of immesurable might that could stand to almost any blade. And last, he would need a feared weapon... ......................... *Dameus has left for the temple of the gods*
