After their meeting the day before, Kari had stayed in her library catching up on the work she had skipped out on yesterday.A large pile of books sat on her desk along with on the floor and in her chair.She sighed.
The old man knows how to pile on the work.she sighed to herself.
Kari picked up the pile in her chair and on her desk and sat them on the floor.She sat down and quickly began her work on a few of the books tossing them aside in a matter of seconds with her neat, flowing handwriting on the card in the back.
"Hey Kari!"her brother called from across the room.She looked up at him for a moment to let him know that she heard him and got back to work.she already had a pile of finished books on the other side of her desk about knee high.
"What ignoring your own brother?"
She got up and handed him the large stack of books."Here make yourself useful."her voice sounded colder than she had expected it to.
Wow someone's having a bad day...Itichi thought to himself.

She sat back down at her desk and started to work again, but she soon stopped. Her thoughts were wandering and it was hard to keep track of things.Her dreams from the night before had scared her.She now wished that she had told her father about it but soon dismissed that thought.
He's too busy to worry about things like this.
Kari got up and went outside to take a walk.
"Hey KAri where do you think you're going?"Itichi called after her.
"I'm going for a walk for a little while."She replied quietly.
"And leaving me with all these books?!"he said shocked.
"You don't have to do that.I was just kidding..."
"And you have a perfect way of doing it too...."
"I heard that."
She walked out of the library and into the deeper corridors of the capital.The NyghtWyng capital was inside of the mountain So they were accustomed to the dark and were very skilled fighters in the darkness sometimes even more so better than in the light. But they had the lamps lit in the halls so they were well lit.
Kari walked for a few minutes taking a turn here and a turn there until she had to walk up a large set of stairs and in front of a large pair of elegantly carved doors.She pushed them open and walked onto the peak of her mountain and her private garden.

She let the wind play through her hair before she laid back on the soft grass.The clouds floated by peacefully with out a care in the world.
"You're lucky.." a voice said quietly.
She jumped back up onto her feet in a defensive position. It was just Rayn, a dragon from the thief faction.

"Oh it's just you...."she said relaxing."Hey DON't scare me like that!!!"she snapped.
"They're advancing...."he said looking up over the trees at the dark cloud approaching.
Kari jumped up to see as well."Wow....How did...When did they..?"Her eyes grew wide in fear."Link..."She jumped down the mountain heading straight into the dark cloud.

She stopped gracefully on a balcony startling an off-duty messenger. "You come with me"
HE looked startled."wha-..?"
"Just do it."

"O-ok...", he said confused and startled.
Kari looked at him in silence then spoke quietly."I want you to go to the Extraxi capital and find Link.Tell him that everything's ok here."
The messenger nodded and started to take off but he paused."Lady Annaruscio...why so early?Why right now?"
she looked at him in silence for a moment then looked away."Because...you might not make it over there in time if you don't go now..."
She left without another word after the messenger shot off through the sky the cloudd of darkness growing ever closer.

Her eyes clouded with tears for the onslaught she knew was to come.She plunged straight into the cloud of darkness.She kept her eyes closed.Her scythe sppeared in a flurry of her blackish dragonpyre and she easily slaughtered shadows left and right a fury towards them and the humans growing evermore in her heart.
