As Dameus cast the previous bolt of energy, he clenched his fist as tight as a man ever could.
Seal Eclipse four, I release you from your depths...
Another flash of energy and Link was bound by all of his limbs.
Dameus leapt onto a rock in front of Link again and raised his helmet ((though, if you all read thoroughly i never said I left it on after taking it off...)). Dameus, glaring at link coldly with his right eye, slowly grabbed the piece of cloth binding his left eye.
I have been waiting for this...for so long...
Goodbye, Link...
As it rose the slowest bit it was as if the air seemed to turn dark and melt into darkness.
Nothing could be seen from the outside in, nothing from the inside out. It was the last thing Link would see, anyway...
As Dameus fully raised his headband, his eye showed.
The dark eye. It had no white. It was black. Amber retinea with pupils the size of a needle point stared straight towards Link.
The air pulsed with a sense of hate for a moment or two. Hate, despision, revenge, fury...
All raged through the senses of both of the two's minds.
You remember nothing...Nothing. Dameus Exavior is dead. The Emperor has no false or fatal affairs. You cannot stand against him, he will surely kill you.
Zeth, Kari, Leroy, your friends all betrayed you...
They hate you... You are helpless... You are a mere insect in the path of the rolling stone...
You hate everything...You despise life...
Dameus continues repeating things to Link, swaying him into beliefs.
((Link has to fight with his mind to stay control over the things that he really wants to remember.
This eye...it has the power to warp the minds reality by mere words. It is truly inevitable to deny it, but you can dodge a few things if your mind is strong enough.

((You realize it's near impossible to turn Link against his beleifs. Well, most of them. And really, convincing him Kari had turned against him was a bad idea. You see, by saying that, you have ticked Link off very, very badly. And when he is mad...well..))
Link realizes waht is about to happen and closes his eyes tight, holding on to his strongest and most held dear memories, of his past, of the present.
Link clenched his fists and then stared defiantly at Dameus.
"You're wrong..Dameus. No matter..how hard you try..there is one person...stopping you."
The locket around Link's neck begins to glow, softly at first, then increasing in brightness.
Soon, it looks as if it holds the very light of the sun.
The blinding light spreads from the locket that hangs around his neck to his arms, then his feet, covering his entire body.
"As long as I live, as long as I breathe, darkness will never prevail. Maybe you have chosen the wrong path..but Kari is the beacon of light keeping me away from the darkness, the void."
A golden aura, seemingly also a halo of energy spreads around Link, all the pillars around the battle shattering.
"You-"
Link snaps the first chain with a flick of his wrist, the darkness particles obliterated by the halo of light.
"-will-"
Link breaks the second chain with his other wrist, the darkness consumed by light.
"-not-"
Link kicks with his foot and shatters the third chain, which falls downward a way before being destroyed.
"-kill-"
Link's last foot jerks as the chains break free, the halo of light surrounding him now, spreading out to the rapiers he now holds.
"-me!"
((Yeah...he's mad.))
Link's armor changes from blue to marble white, the yellow trim becoming blazing gold.
His pupils change to slits (As all dragoons do when they are angry) and he spins both rapiers in his hands before bringing them into a combat position.
Lux Lucis! (Link's holy combat fusion spell)
Link disappears, then a golden mark appears, stretching diagonally across Dameus' exposed dark eye. Then, another appears on his leg, then on his arm, then his body is hit again and again with full force of Link's anger.
After Dameus is nearly crippled, the air directly in front of him blurs, and Link appears again, hand pressed to Dameus' stomach.
A holy beam of energy blasts right through Dameus and out the other side, and Dameus falls from the air to an inevitable impact with the ground ((Not dead, just...horribly and brutally wounded..>_>))

Dameus slowly turns his head towards Link, all his eyes appeared as were jet black spheres with red circles upon them that stared straight at him.
Dameus winced, the pain was nearly unbearable. Too much to bear for much longer. He stood up slowly, his fists clenched in trembling weakness.
How is it...that you can fight...with fear of...of whatever you cared most of...being taken away...
What do you live for...when all you ever did live for...lives no more...? This...I will never...know...
Quiet tears fell silently upon his face as it stared blankly through the helmet.
A sudden pulse without a noise flew through the air. It wasn't heavy, merely a slight tremble.
Dameus was shaking, jerking every second. His face yielded nothing of emotion as he shook violently.
Gah!!...
A spire with pure force rose from the ground next to Dameus. Another...Another.
Soon he was in the middle of a circle of them, and one by one they began to glow.
From the slightest murmur of noise came the smallest tune Dameus ever knew, the one he would always sing when alone with all but himself. It was not a sad tune, nor a tune that drew fear or hate...It was merely a whisper of notes that quietly in the minds of others could form a picture of a sunny day. Clouds in the sky, rustling of plains...A diamond clear lake, flowers of innumerable colors, and the soft chirping of birds.

As he sang each note one of the spires flashed a soft green.
They slowly began to fall back into the stone from whence they came. Each note resonated in the air with a hum, Dameus staring at the sky, his eyes closed, his cape flapping as the wind blew whichever way it rode.
Scorn silently made his way towards Link and Dameus, his flapping a mere twitch of the air.
Dameus! Have you killed Link?
...I'm going...to see her again...Soon...Thank you...Scorn...Thank...y....y...y-...
From the mere hums that resonated, a new voice emerged. The figure was walking behind Link, now in front of him. It sang with the tune as if it knew perfectly, every note made the perfect chord as if a spring rose had finally found its water.
Dameus turned his head slowly to stare at the figure. How did it know the song?
May you rest in peace for eaternity and its ever beyond. Xei-XaiNinXal...In their names, Ohm...
Dameus could hardly speak any longer.
Dameus?! He's alive!! Do something...
Silence.
Dameus?...Do something...
Dameus stared at the figure with a face that seemed blankily sleepy. How?
"I only...wish I could...have lived with...her...
Don't...ever...let Kari...die...You will never live...to forgive yourself...
Goodbye...Link..."
Dameus...
Silently Dameus fell to his knees. The hum faded. Everything, everything was silent. The flames died into nothing. The torrent fell parched. The air froze.
The sound of metal slowly crept as Vexxaccus was sheathed into it's scabbard.
Dameus reached onto his finger with a shaking hand and slowly pulled off the ring, watching how it glowed. "Funny little thing...isn't it..."
He lightly dropped it to the ground, letting it's bright fiery glow that flamed upon its runes fade into the mere color of silver.
It fell right next to the smallest white rose. It was hardly noticeable for it was so small. How...
How did it survive the flame?...
Dameus....
And the last tear he would shed that day finally fell from its maker.
"Good...b..."
He did not fall to the ground, he merely was frozen in that position. His eyes closed slowly.
Death was nearly upon him, almost enveloping what was left.
Scorn silently glared at Link, then at the figure. With a grunt of air and a snarl, he pulled Dameus by his cape onto his back.
He only did it...for her.
Scorn glared fiercely at Link and then without another word leapt off the ground, flying with upmost speed towards the kingdom.
((You can't tell Zeth or Kari or anyone for that matter that it was Dameus though. That is also the effect of the cloak, jsyk. You remember them at that moment but it fades and when you bring up the memory you forget. Kinda strange but yeah that's Eck'Thaa and Skul'Kerath cloaks for ya!))

*Dameus has left for the Imperial City Temple District*
The figure stood there, still humming the song. As it finished with the same notes as Dameus, it turned to stare at Link.
You must come with me now, as you agreed. Don't worry-- Kari is not harmed.
