"Yeah I know how you feel." Shrugged Ivan. Suddenly a High piched scream was heard. "DRAKINA!" yelled Ivan

Arissa turned and fallowed Ivan, her light casting a pool around her.

The scream happened again and Ivan rushed through the gargantuan room to be confronted by two different paths. "Which one is it?!" questioned Ivan and he looked at arissa hoping she would know

Arissa paused, listning. "This way." She said taking one. She grabbed her bow from off her back and nocked a firebird arrow.

Ivan Looked at Arissa in surprisal at her arrow as it glowed a faint red illuminating part of the two tunnels "So any Ideas?" questioned Ivan.

Arissa shrugged "Help Drakina." She said

"well duh but which tun-" the Ark shook once more "Whats happening?!?" shouted Ivan as darkness consumed their dim light and fangs and eyes appeared out of no were there mouths dripped blood and saliva

out of pure reaction Arissa snarled a warning at them. The creatures paused, surprised at this.

"you speek our words?' one asked.

"Yes." Arissa said. "Will you let us pass?' It gave a snarling giggle "intruders die!" It said and lept at them. Arissa released her arrow, striking it in the mouth. It would be reduced to ash in minutes. In one fluid motion she put her bow back on her back and drew her sword, its slightly curved blade rinnging.

Ivan slashed at two of the figures cutting one in half and sending the other flying away three leaped at Ivan he roled out of the way but one had a hold of his leg and was Gnawing at it.

Arissa slashed at a creature that was trying to bite her. It retreated, yelping. She ran over to Ivan and ran the creatur though that was biting him. It fell dead. The creatures backed up to regroup. Arissa took the oppertunity to study a fang that had been knocked out. "hmmm, Keroy would like this." She said and stuck it in her bag.

"Gah! bloody creatures don't know when to give up!" said Ivan and hoped to his feat and more figures appeared when a third scream was heard. Ivan glared at the charging darkness and he let out a beastly roar as charged into them slashing away with his sword cutting them in twain and some just vanished into thin air as the blade hit them others fell to the floor screaming and wailing

Ivan was oblivious to the wounds upon him all he cared for was finding drakina. as the bodys started to pile up Ivan was met by a looming wave of darkness. Eyes of red appeared upon the wall they affixed upon Ivan and crashed on top of him. Arissa not far behind and she saw the wave of darkness crash upon Ivan and she pulled back fire bird arrows and fired. The arrows cut through part of the darkness but it regrew like it was alive.

Arissa growled and she cursed in ancient tongue under her breath. Ivan screamed as claws slashed at him,fangs dug into his skin , and his soul felt like it was being sucked out of him. He struggled to break free from the darkness consuming him. Arissa searched her quiver to bring up a Blessed steel arrow to her notch and she fired this time loud screams were heard and the darkness didn't regrow making red eyes affix upon her.She quickly brought up another as a wave of darkness charged for her but when she fired the wave stopped and the darkness surrounding Ivan vanished. Ivan crumpled to the floor he had cuts and lacerations all over his body. he staggered to his feet and hobbled to what seemed to be the end of this tunnel. Arissa rushed over him to asses his injury's. The whole right side of his face was swolen and bleeding making him unable to open his eye.his clothes were torn and what was left of his shirt was covered in blood. His arms and legs were bleeding from large wounds all around them. Ivan leaned against a wall and was taking very hasty breaths. "You okay Ivan?" Arissa asked searching her bag for anything that might help Ivan. She pulled out a vial of viscous liquid and handed it to him "Here this will help..." Ivan grabbed the vial with a shaky hand and chuged it down. The taste was horrible it made him tingle but made him want to throw up all the same. "thanks..." Ivan said his breathing turned to normal "Now we should be getting close...." said Ivan and he pointed towards a large stone door with strange markings on it.

"How are we supposed to open that?" asked Arissa
"Im not entirely sure but I have a feeling Drakina is behind there..." said Ivan
He tooped of the vial and handed it back to Arissa.
he picked his sword up from the ground and withdrew a rag from his belt and wiped of the blade,polishing it till its green luster returned in the dim light.\
"I saw you had a book Arissa may I see it if has any clues on how to open that door?"
"You can check.." said arrisa handing Ivan a tattered book "thanks.." said Ivan looking through the pages.
He rested his hand on a circular part ot the door it illuminated and he felt a forgien energy surge through him and the doors symbols grew to life and the door slowly slid open.
"Wow nice job Ivan." she said taking her book back.

But Ivan did not smile like Arissa was when he saw the terror of the room ahead Large Tentacles of what seemed to be rotted flesh and bone were Swarming around the room the Tentacles seemed small compared to how large the room was but they started to swarm over the circular platform that covered most of ground.What Ivan saw next disturbed him most Drakina was lying on an alter of black and green stone Darkness flew around her and were taking turns swooping down at her...they...were taking turns feeding...feeding off of her soul....Ivan became outraged at this madness and without thinking charged into the room his sword drawn and eyes ablaze.
Arissa Saw this too and Withdrew he bow and charged in as well. The flying darkness noticed them and flew towards them there fangs were dripping with saliva and they barely made it to were Ivan was running in before being incinerated by Arissa's arrows. Ivan doged and slashed at the incoming flyers they didnt matter....The alter was were he needed to be...
After at least only a minute had passed the Tentacles shot out form the sides growing in length and slammed into the ground.Ivan Rolled out of the way debris whisked by his head and he growled under his breath a few inches closer and he would have been dead. the tentacle was much thicker that he had thought as well it seemed to get bigger from the top down the smallest point of it was the size of a fully grown elephant. He had to avoid these at all costs Arrows whizzed by Ivan as a large shriek was heard the tentacle rose into the air at a shocking rate. Arrows were lodged into the side of it. Suddenly the arrows exploded making half of the tentacle be severed off and fall to the ground spraying green blood from were it once was.
