Shay stepped over to Arrucard using the momentary distraction to examin him. Grate she thought there's two of them. Arrucard was in bad shape,dying, agin. This was to much like..... no this was not the time to think of that. She wanted to remove the dagger, but then he would bleed to death. It was a lose-lose situation. "Arrucard?" She asked softly. "arrucard are you still hear?" She dident exspect a resopnce but it made her feel better to ask. She turned and looked at the figures. She silently drew on of her throwing knives in her right hand and waited for them to move. If they where to attack her she was ready

arrucard looked down he heard muffled sounds, he saw blurred figures he tried to reach out to them but he could not move a river of red flowed from his chest and the smell of burnt flesh was in the air

Shay looked down at Arrucard after the small movement. She crouched down beside Arrucard and took his hand. She sang softly to him, her eyes still on the figures

arrucard tried to speak his vision still blurred and a soft muffled noise was around him he tried to speak but only blood oozed out slowly.... the dagger was still in his chest the dragon gem was glowing

"Shh, shh." She said. The dagger was still glowing. Odd she thought and continued singing. It was a sad sweet song. She had only sung it to her yonger brother before... no dont think about that she repromended herself

the gem strted to get brighter and brighter soon the sight became unbearable and his eyes watered
and the whole world around him became white. Arrucard looked around there was nothing to be seen just a blank white area he looked at his hands there were no scars or marks no himt of previous wounds before. his clothes were no longer rags they were soft robes of white. the dagger was no longer in his chest. a figure stood before him a some what aged woman long golden hair arrucard knew who this person was...It was his mother.

Shay blinked as Arrucard slipped away. Her eyes blurred with tears. She hardly belived it. It was that things stupid fault. She trunedto stare at them her mist-eyes blazing

"mom?" arrucard rubbed his eyes as his mother approached him. his mother smiled and spoke in low soft tone "yes, arrucard it is me." she smiled as arrucard ran towards her tears swelled in his eyes.
she gently stroked his head "Am...am...I ..dead?" said arrucard his mother still holding him in her arms. she took a deap breath "no, it is not your time arrucard. I am afraid. that your time has not come you have no reason to die." his mother smiled and kissed arrucard on the head "you have made me so proud." she chuckled "even though some of your behavior has been...a bit curious" she smiled "but...how can I not be dead if I am seeing you right here?" said arrucard as he rubbed away tears "you see." said his mother "The way the time of death occurs if only the angel of death has of no more use for you." her voice went flat "but for you your journey has just begun." "but..." said arrucard confused. "why am I here then if my time has not come?"
"my son,there much more I wish I could tell you but now is not the time." arrucard frowned at hearing this. "as long as you have my gem,my love you will always be safe." she smilled and looked at arrucards look of confusion and she patted his head and vanished. "Mom? mom?!? mom?!!?!?!?" yelled arrucard "how could she leave me like this?!" arrucard felt a sudden chill over him the area around him turned black his hands strted to disapear arrucard screamed but nothing came out.

Shay turned around, suprised. Arrucard was moving slightly.

arrucard coughed his vision returned the image of his mother still fresh in his mind he pulled out the dagger that was still lodged in his the bleeding had stoped for it to become dried up and crusted the taste of dried blood was in his mouth. he took a look at the gem in his dagger and saw the image of his mother smiling and it faded away arrucard looked at shay her face was red she had been crying "Like I said im not some human you can push around" grinned arrucard

Shay started, suprised. "Hay Arrucard!" she smiled and brought him up in a tight hug. "Of course you'r not"She wisperd in her ear "Yah think they know lesson numger one?"

arrucard was squished under the force of the demon "eh...I....can...see....your.......happy...to....see..me......now....can...you.....loosen....up.....your....grip?"
arrucard in fact was happy to see shay was alright was more pleasant than seeing his mother.

"Ohh yah." Shay said and let go of Arrucard. "I thought you died." she said. She picked up his dagger and handed it to him hilt first.

arrucard looked at the blade then the gem "yeah so did I" said arrucard as he took the dagger and cleaned and smoothly put it into his hilt. he looked up and noticed two figures talking "have they don anything to you?" asked arrucard pointing at the two

Shay scowled "Not yet but undoubtedly they'll get around to it." She tapped her nose with her knife blade "We just need to be ready."
