The figure walks into the forgotten graveyard and reaches a lone grave inscribed with markings. The figure unmasks himself and kneels in front of it, gazing at the inscriptions. It read 'Fortos Lechram Krothis On Unum'. He saw a small bit of dust covering a few more markings. Scratching it off, he read the last bit 'Ganga Un Atra Felvendis Keethra Gana'. Dameus leapt up and turned around to face a dark cloaked being. "Why are you here?!" Dameus said as the being took a step towards him. It was cloaked with the same robes Dameus had, but the insignia was different...it was the Skul Kerath clan leader's mark. "I thought I killed you!!" The being took another step and in it's hand a scythe formed from blue flames. No. The Skeleton Rider still lives, poor Dameus. I was able to escape through the portal, lucky me. Why are you so surprised? I'm only your other half... The supposed Skeleton Rider suddenly leapt into the air, his scythe pointed at Dameus. Dameus with the same speed as lightning ripped out two daggers from their sheathes and in a blur disappeared, flying back towards him. Their blades met with furious sparks and they began a small mid-air fight, throwing and parrying furious blows that almost no mere man could comprehend. Finally they flung themselves away from eachother, flying in opposite directions. Dameus was already forming a spell with his fingertips, muttering word after word. The Skeleton Rider laughed and twirled his scythe, slashing a gap in the air and creating a rift. Dameus gawked as it was sucked inside and was for a few seconds scared, silence creeping along. He heard a noise and behind him appeared a rift of darklit energy that a black gloved hand protruded from and grabbed him in the shoulder, pulling him inside. Dameus was now in a black space that seemed to compact him and at the same time expand him to his limits. Dameus roared and found himself staring at the Skeleton Rider who was flying towards him, scythe outstretched. The scythe slashed his torso and his right arm, now turning red with blood. The skeleton rider laughed and then kicked Dameus in the gut squarely. Dameus gaped and found himself tumbling onto the ground, his neck being pinned to the ground by a scythe. You are too weak without that blade. I knew that it was impossible to lose to the likes of you. Dameus winced and whimpered in pain as the skeleton rider then slowly cut across his neck up to his cheek, finally and quickly slicing across the very skin on his nose. Dameus bellowed and gazed coldly upon the dark robed shadow figure of his own self. Dameus then kicked him quickly somewhere that most men didn't like to be kicked in and leapt to his feet, madly slashing at the rider. The rider laughed and thrust him in the chest with the scythe and grabbed dameus's head with his arm, putting him in a headlock. Twisting him towards the ground, he then whacked him with the rod part. Dameus fell to the ground on the brink of death and was pinned through the chest to the ground, bleeding uncontrollably. The figure laughed and finally with a snap of his fingers turning it back into mere flames that dissappated into nothing. Then the figure pulled out a daggerc. The dagger itself was about a foot and a half long. The blade was a bright blue glowing diamond that had a pearly radiance. The pommel had a gem that did the same and the handle was black. The figure walked up to dameus and raised it above his head and spoke Now you will give me what is most valuable about you, Dameus. Your quintessence...I need it for a little something. I need it so that I may unlock it's potential and make a bomb that will undeniably smite the continent and leave death in it's wake. It will also provide me with more strength, which will be quite amusing. Now, breathe your last breaths...
the figure raised the dagger high above his head and flung it down towards dameus. The figure cursed madly and the blade suddenly filled with a bright pearl white glowing liquid substance that entered from the tip down to the hilt. Dameus winced and turned to his left to stare at Elasia, his wyvern. She was wincing in pain harder than anything and then finally collapsed next to Dameus. Dameus was breathtaken for a few minutes and then muttered over and over the words 'No'. The figure steadily threw curses about and then spoke with a hissing tone that resembled a coiled snake I will steal yours later. For now I must go. And I hope you won't be missing your wyvern friend that much...You will never speak words again, anyway... the figure laughed darkly and then in a blast of lightning teleported elsewhere. Dameus did not speak anything but threw himself over Elasia's neck. She did not move. She could not move. Her essence that gave her a life was now about to be dropped into a small bottle and stored away in an enormous vault.
She was gone. His closest friend...gone...
Dameus kept muttering the words over and over, each breath staining his mind with darkness. No...
*****
It had been hours now, Dameus did not dare leave her. He was now crying senselessly into the air the same words he had spoken those few hours beforehand. Why did she have to be taken? Anyone. Anyone but her...
Dameus's mind now darkened with thoughts. Emotions that he raged and boiled with now. They spoke of wrath and revenge and sorrow, all frothing in an enormous cauldron burning hot.
"I will kill you! I will kill you!!" he spoke towards nothing.
*****
Dameus got to his feet, his face stained with tears, and teleported Elasia to his house. He then staggered towards the grave. Once he reached it he kicked it into pieces of crumbling stone. Satisfied, he sat down on one of the rocks and cried.
....
I will kill him...I will kill him...Anyone who dares intervene will serve the same fate...
I will kill him...Make him suffer...How?...I will grow strong...I will outmatch any man...I will become something feared across the continent...Something every man and child will cower under...Something that will serve my revenge faithfully...I will grow powerful...I will kill him and anything else that I must...For her...For them...For me...
He will die...He will burn...He will suffer more than one would even think to imagine...
And those who intervene...
Will suffer as well...
Dameus pulled his hood over his head and in a blur dashed with great speed towards his home, not stopping for anything or anyone.
*Dameus has left for Dameus's house*
