Crow rained his horse at a stable at the town's entrance, tossing a few coins to the scrawny boy who took the horse's lead. He walked into the main square, his cloak swishing at his ankles, concealing everything he hid underneath it. A few coins loosely clinked in the pouch at his waist. He was running low. He might have to run a few errands while in town. He didn't really know why he had come to Cheydinal. He wanted to travel around Cyrodil, and he had to start somewhere.
He glanced around the square, noting the few people who wandered the streets, tightly hugging coin purses and casting fearful glances around. His daggers were in his belt, like always, there presence giving him a feeling of authority. His empty coinpurse was starting to annoy him, so he carefully looked around at the people, looking for targets. He noticed a Nord in an expensive looking overcoat who was closely guarding his purse. Crow noted a few men tailing him, wearing swords at their sides.
Whatever was in the purse, it must be expensive.
The man had walked to the far side of the square, and was glancing at jewelwry on display at a stall. Crow made his to him, then pretended to stumble on a stone. As he bumped into the Nord, he pulled out his dagger and cut the bottom of the purse. As the contents fell out, he let his purse catch the falling contents.
While pardoning himself, he pinned a weight to the purse so the Nord wouldn't notice the difference in weight. Crow quickly strode in the opposite direction and hid behind a building in some long weeds. Now to see what he had taken.
