Degaro slashes at Lucas, but is blocked by his spear, Lucas counters with a thrust, but it's parried in an instant, in which Degaro slices upward and catches Lucas on the chest, leaving a gash, which causes Lucas to back up, but Degaro keeps slashing and stabbing, most of which were connecting, until both Lucas and Degaro come to a stop, Lucas, bleeding over most of his body, and Degaro, with only a few scratches on him.

"I told you, I was one of the Necromancer's generals, what do you expect?"
[glow=black,2,300]"Well then, I guess it's time for my last resort..."[/glow]
Lucas turns to the altar, brings his arm back to throw the spear, and- shunk -a golden sword sticks out of the front of lucas's chest, and as he turned his head, his eyes widenned in surprise, as Lily was holding the goldbrand that was piercing through Lucas's back. Lucas only grinned at this as his eyes closed.
[glow=black,2,300]"I fitting end, I suspect..."[/glow]
Lucas falls to the ground, the sword slips out of his body, as he hits the earth, the spear seems to dissintgrate into the air, and a lone tear flows down from Lily's eye.

Now might be a good time to use the bomb, Reina thought, shuddering at the sight of Degaro. The ease with which he had defeated that Nexus mage-she supposed that was what they were called, since they had said the word so many times-was bone-chilling. She grimly took out the bomb, placed it snugly in the rocks blockng the entrance, and lit the fuse, hiding as it burned. So much for subtle.

Degaro hears a slight hissing sound and turns his head towards it.
"All right, come on out, i know you're hiding back there...little girl..."
Degaro starts walking towards the sound casually.

Reina's heart froze, she struggled not to move. It didn't matter either way, that thing would hunt her down regardless. But...she would have to put up a fight if it did, regardless. She grimly pulled out her daggers, clenching her teeth with the effort to move arms that didn't want to obey her.
This wasn't going to go well.

Degaro sighed and walked further forward.
"I'm not going to hurt you...why would I do that in the first place?"
Lily suddenly turns and walks up to Degaro.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Is this why you want to be seperated from Zeth, so you can reak havoc?"[/glow]
Degaro looks at her for a moment and then starts laughing aloud.
[glow=purple,2,300]"What's so funny?"[/glow]
"Haha....Why would I reak havoc? All I want to do is to just kill the necromancer and anyone still following him...I just hope the allies on my side are still alive, it will be easier to be the lord of shadows that way..."
Lily looks at him strangely as Degaro says this.
[glow=purple,2,300]"You just want to rule the shadowclan?"[/glow]
Degaro sighs.
"No, I want to stop this needless battle, though that's not in my nature...but I'll discuss it another time....Now come on out, I swear on my title as the "Shadow of the Chaotic Sky!"
[glow=blue,2,300]"You might as well come out."[/glow]
Zeth's illusion appears agian.
[glow=blue,2,300]"When he swears on that title, he means what ever he swears..."[/glow]

Reina paused for a moment, unsure of what to do. Every survival instinct she had was screaming for her to stay hidden, to stay away from that thing. But...the bladelord said to trust him, and she felt she could...
She stepped out into the open, sheathing her daggers, just as the bomb exploded. Just in time.

As the bomb explodes, Degaro immediately turns back into Zeth and he appears in the way of debris launched toward the girl and raises his hands to create a barrier that stops the debris at it and they drop to the ground. As the last bit of debris falls, Zeth turns to the girl.
"You okay?"

Reina blinks, slightly confused. Then, realising it was the Bladelord again, rather than that thing that killed the Nexus mage-Lucas?-, she nodded, finally managing to choke out, "Yeah, I'm okay."

"Good, now then..." Zeth lets the barrier fall and walks over to Lily. "So, can I use the overload gem?" Lily sighs and removes the bracelet and hands it to Zeth. [glow=purple,2,300]"Just be careful..."[/glow] "I will be...." Zeth walks up to the altar of the Nexus cross and levitates the overload gem infront of him and starts chanting as light comes from the gem and the soul seperation begins. ----------------Meanwhile, In Zeth's cavern...------------------ Horus belches as he finishes a chicken leg and sets it next to Horuga, the ice wyrm. [glow=green,2,300]"Now that was good...."[/glow] Horuga growls at Horus for getting the last bit of chicken. [glow=green,2,300]"Oh come on.....it was just chicken...."[/glow] Horuga growls in protest. [glow=green,2,300]"Still, I don't think it's anything to be upset abou-"[/glow] Not waiting for Horus to finish, Horuga tackles Horus and knocks him into a teleportation gem, and they both vanish. ((You can guess what's goin' to happen....)) --------------Back in the Nexus Hideout...-------------------- As the final sylables start to be spoken, Zeth's body seems to start to split, with Zeth on one side, Degaro on the other. Almost there.....Just a little bit....Just at that moment, Horus and Horuga appear over the altar and plummet straight for the altar, with Zeth and Degaro on it.... Oh crud....Oh, for the love of Astra n-Horus falls on the two, causing an explosion, flinging Zeth and Horuga through one wall of the cavern, and Degaro through the wall opposite. One heading for Skingrad, one for Kavach. As the smoke clears, Horus is laying on his back, unconcous, next to the overload gem, still in one piece.... ((Horus is now the only one in the cavern, and Zeth and Degaro go their seperate ways....for now....This is gonna get fun.... >  )) |

Reina, who had been watching the procedure with interest, had gotten too close to the pair, and had only had time to react to Horus' appearence by thinking, For the love of the Ni- before she was hit, blasted by the same force as Degaro and Zeth, and went flying toward Kvatch...on the opposite side from Zeth. ((This will hurt. XD Oh, and I fixed it Zeth.  )) |
