Zeth lands in an area around Bruma and looks around.
What are we doing in this dump of a town?
We're looking for the overload gem....
Why would it be here!?
Shut up would you! I'm tring to scry!!
Zeth looks to the right and then to the left, then behind him.
Well?
"It's being used as we speak......"
How close?
"About a kilometer away...."
Then go get it!!!
"At least I'll be seperated from you once this is over....."
Zeth dashes towards the source of energy of the overload gem.

Zeth comes to a halt at a nearby cave and peers inside.
"It's in here...."
Well hurry up! I'm getting impacient...I would like to be in my flesh and blood if you don't mind.....
Zeth walks inside, looking around with each step. Suddenly Zeth hears a scream deeper inside the cave....a girl's scream....Zeth dashes in it's direction until he reaches a large openning and halts.
"Whoa..."
Zeth looks around and before him stands a large altar with a sculpture of an unknown god holding a giant cross looming over it. In front of the altar, about a dozen shamans, as they would appear, stood in front of a young man and girl, the man holding the girls arm, and on her wrist.....
Is that...?
Yep, no mistaking it...the overload gem.....
The braclet was made of what appeared to be pure gold, and the overload gem itself, a brilliant red in the center of it. Just as Zeth looked at the man holding the girls arm, Zeth spotted other bodies lying on the ground, both male, and severly injured.

Zeth looks up at the man again and meets his eyes directly. The man was fairly tall, pale, and had dark, cold eyes. He wore a cloak similar to the shamans, but had gold trims on the edges.
[glow=black,2,300]Well!?!?[/glow]
Zeth crosses his arms and grins.
"Is that any way to treat a guest?"
The man snears and some of the shamans raise their hands to chant a spell, but the man holds up his hand to stop them.
[glow=black,2,300]Very well then, I might as well introduce myself before you die.... I am Lucas, new lord of the Nexus Clan.[/glow]
Zeth looks surprised as he said this.
"You mean the clan that was banished for their study in forbidden arts....."
[glow=black,2,300]Precisely....[/glow]
Zeth gives a grin and starts chuckling.
[glow=black,2,300]What's so funny!?!?[/glow]
Zeth stops chuckling and reaches into his cloak.
"Nothing, I'm just surprised....I thought you all were extinct.....but now that I know you're alive....."
Zeth draws out his cross and Lucas's eyes widen.
[glow=black,2,300]How did you find that!?!?!?![/glow]
"Oh, I just found it.....now I haven't introduced myself yet....I'm Zeth Gurido, and I've come for the overload gem....."
[glow=purple,2,300]Not you, too...[/glow]
Zeth looks at the girl and she looks back at him with a glare.
[glow=purple,2,300]Why do you want it?[/glow]
Zeth scratches the back of his head.
"If you must know, I need it for soul seperation....."
[glow=black,2,300]What!!![/glow]
Zeth looks at Lucas who looked as though he would burst into flames with anger.
[glow=black,2,300]How do you even know about it? Who told you!?!?[/glow]
"Nobody....I just learned it from a book, and know...."
Zeth takes a step forward as his eyes glow azure.
"I will have the overload gem....so release the girl, her allies, the gem, and let us leave before [glow=blue,2,300]I have to kill you[/glow]...."
Zeth's sudden attitude change made Lucas take a step back but took it back up with a grin.
[glow=black,2,300]Not going to happen....Now....[/glow]
Lucas throws the girl onto the ground and points his hand at Zeth.
[glow=purple,2,300]RUN!!![/glow]
"Huh?"
Uh, Zeth, incoming....
Zeth looks back at Lucas just as....
[glow=Black,2,300]Flatus Humus[/glow]
The area around Zeth erupts with vines and all strike at Zeth at the same time.
[glow=black,2,300]Now die!!![/glow]
Zeth draws his blade and it erupts with flames and within the red light, Zeth grins.....
"Pyros...."
Flames race up the vines and the area around Zeth becomes an area full of flames. The girl gasps and Lucas takes a step back at the power of the spell.
"Now, what were you saying?"
Zeth slashes his sword and the flames disperse leaving Zeth without a scratch.

Zeth looks at the girl who was looking at Zeth in awe.
[glow=purple,2,300]I haven't seen a fire spell that powerful come from anyone other than my brother....[/glow]
Zeth frowns at this and scratches the back of his head.
"And who....might I ask.....is your brother?"
The girl stands and dusts herself off.
[glow=purple,2,300]His name is Leroy...[/glow]
Zeth looks shocked for a second but starts laughing.
"No wonder.....I should of known, seeing the only one who could out do that is Leroy....."
[glow=purple,2,300]Wait you know him?[/glow]
Zeth opens his mouth to answer but...
Uh, Zeth, I'd hate to break this up, but....
Zeth turns his head and at least a couple dozen nexus clanmembers were standing in front of him, Lucas at the front.
[glow=black,2,300]Well, I can see your not a force to be reconned with....so we'll go full force on you....[/glow]
"Fine by me, but if I win, you have to let me use the true nexus cross for my soul seperation....not that it will matter if you're dead...."
[glow=black,2,300]Not going to happen....[/glow]
All of the clanmembers stand at the ready, and Zeth readies his katana and the girl presses the overload gem and the braclet transforms into a sword.
"Nice trick, uh..."
[glow=purple,2,300]My name's Lily, thank you very much.....[/glow]
"Alright Lily, here they come...."

((hey zeth it alright if you take on part of the storyline i was working on a while back, but the only catch about the cross is that people only people with the bloodline of pyroblade or nexus can wield it properly. Its only because it was a shared artifact between the clans. Originally anyone could use it, but a flash back of the storyline im going to put in very soon reveals that the nexus cross was enchanted by the pyro and neximancers enchanted it to only be used by the two clans. Also im going to post after school today so yeah im going to get back into posting a lot.))

As the spearmen charge in first into the battle, and the sages, shamans and Lucas ready their spells, Zeth whirls around, brings his leg around, and kicks a spearman into another while Lily brings her sword down on them, and as she does, it creates flames that cover the spearmen and they run around like chickens until they die by the flames. The spearmen continue to attack relentlessly, but Zeth avoids all the attacks, and Lily gets a few scratches, then Zeth counters with a wall of flame that sends the remaining spearmen backwards, just as the shamans start attacking with their darkness magic. The spells invelope both Lily and Zeth, but Zeth creates a barrier to shield her and he leaves himself wide open to their attacks. After the barrage from the shamans ended, Zeth slumps to the ground and Lily looks at him with concern and anger at the same time.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Why did you do that? I didn't need any help!!"[/glow]
Zeth laughs as he stands.
"You were wide open...If I hadn't done that, it could have killed you....."
Zeth points his free hand at a fraction of the shamans.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Guran Truska!"[/glow]
Crimson lightning dances from Zeth's hand and strikes some of the shamans in the chests, stopping their heartbeats, and Lily raises her hand as well.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Taiyoo!"[/glow]
Flames strike another part of the shamans, leaving only four of the shamans as Lucas and the sages fire off their spells. Zeth then shields both himself and Lily by creating a barrier of mana to repel the spells, but Zeth could only hold up half of them and the barrier shatters, so that part of the spells hit them. They still hold their stances however, and ready for the next assault.

Reina managed to peek around the corner just in time to see the tremendous exchange of spells. She quickly draws back, thinking, Sheesh, who are these people?! Unable to curb her curiousity, however, she peeks around again, in time to see one of the spearmen move very close to the place she was hiding. Normally she might have hid again; however, the quality of the spearman's armor was just too tempting. She slipped up behind him, and, drawing out her dagger, brings the hilt onto the guy's shoulder pressure point, catching him right before he hit the ground. He's heavy!, she thought, clenching her teeth to keep from making any sound. Reina dragged the unconsious Nexus soldier back around the corner, laying him next to the thug that had lured her here. The thug, seeming to be a bit older than the spearman, had the look of someone that had been searched by experienced hands, as Reina had done earlier, and there was a little blood on his face, which had a slightly smashed look. Reina quickly searched the soldier. His under-lying chainmail couldn't hide anything very well, so she left it well alone, but searched his helmet and all visible pockets. It turned out to be worth it: she found a small dagger hidden meticulously in his helmet, and his pockets held a fairly large bag of gold and a silver necklace. After stashing the goods, she quickly bound and gagged the guard and returned to her vantage point, watching the battle.

Zeth looks back at the entrance, suspicous for a moment, but turns his attention back to the Nexus and charges at them, then as the fire off more spells at him, he vanishes and appears behind two of the Nexus clan sages.

Stone spires launch the sages and two shamans into the air, then....
[glow=purple,2,300]"Taiyoo!!"[/glow]
Lily sends flames that engulf the shamans and sages and incinerates them.
[glow=black,2,300]'Humus curve maximus!!!"[/glow]
A giant earth scythe rises from the ground and slashes at Zeth, but he flips up into the air and lands on the scythe.
"Is that all you can do?"
[glow=black,2,300]"Barely...."[/glow]
The scythe then shatters and the pieces turn to mud and surround Zeth's legs and arms, stopping his movement.
[glow=black,2,300]"Got you...."[/glow]
Zeth chuckles and the mud starts to harden and break off.
"You have no idea how wrong you are....."
As the last of the mud breaks off, Zeth directs his hand at Lucas.
[glow=red,2,300]"Zarunga!!!"[/glow]
The air around Zeth's hand seems to compress, then a beam of fire launches from his hand and heads straight for lucas, who dodges, only to have a pair of his shamans get hit. Then, a great explosion occurs, engulfing not only the shamans, but also two spearmen. Zeth lowers his hand and looks at Lucas, who was looking at Zeth with a mix of fear and anguish.
[glow=black,2,300]"W-Who-what are you?!?!"[/glow]
Zeth grins and points his katana at Lucas.
"You can still surrender you know....."
Lucas scowls at Zeth.
[glow=black,2,300]"As I said before, not going to happen...."[/glow]
Lucas takes out a tome and opens it as a dark aura starts to surround him.
[glow=black,2,300]"I will end this quickly...."[/glow]

((There's only one spearman left. Reina took out one when there were four, and you just took out two more, leaving one left. ))
Reina almost gasped in suprise; this was way beyond her league. But she would be safe if those soldiers or whatever didn't spot her. The bladelord had seen her, but she didn't think he would pay her any mind. She drew out a throwing knife, picked a target, and, stepping for a second out from her hiding place, swung the knife at the last of the spearmen. Her aim was true, and the spearmen dropped without a sound, pierced through the brain stem, behind the confused Nexus members. Reina had no idea why she was fighting, but she continued to do it anyway.

Zeth grins at Lucas and stabs his katana into the ground, and it disappears into a flash of light. As he does this, he brings his hands into the air, and with another flash of light, the Dragon Fang and Tail appears in his hands.((For all who don't know what the dragon fang and tail looks like, check fan art.)) He brings the D. Fang and Tail down and holds it like a broadsword as Lucas looks amused.
[glow=black,2,300]"What kind of weapon is that supposted to be? Good looking if you ask me....but I bet it's just a tiny knife comapared to my magic abilities."[/glow]
Zeth grins and edges Lucas to attack with his free hand as Lucas's aura starts to go berserk.
[glow=black,2,300]"This time......you will die!!!!!"[/glow]
Lucas raises his free hand into the air and chants....
[glow=black,2,300]"Nexus Sky Rage!!!!!!!"[/glow]
Within the cavern, clouds started to appear up at the ceiling and suddenly, dozens of bolts of lightning fire in random locations, and strike and kill the last of the spearmen, two sages, and even far back in the entrance, which caves in as a result.((Raina is safe, but she is now trapped inside along with Zeth and Lily)) Then, the bolts targeted Zeth and made impact in the area he was standing.

Smoke rises from the area the lightning struck and the suspense grows....

Dang! Reina thought as she jumped away from the entrance. She may have been unhurt, but all of her loot was out there!!...well, other than the dagger, which she had up her sleeve, but that was a lot of gold! She considered blasting her way out with the bomb she had filched a long time ago, but she really didn't think that would be quite subtle enough. To the fight, then. She sighed, drawing out another knife from a pocket. She slowly peaked out of her hiding place and freezes in place at the sign of the carnage. Oh man, this is way out of my league. She hesitated for second, and then took down another of the sages with the knife. This is bad.

In the suspense, Lucas lets out a wild laugh.
[glow=black,2,300]"Hahaha!!! So, this was the best that weapon of his could do!? HAHAHAHA!!!!"[/glow]
Within the smoke, a small laugh arises and Lucas's laugh stops, and looks with fear and surprise into the smoke.
"You thought that could beat me, well, you're wrong...."
As the smoke clears, Zeth stands as he was before, but the dragon fang and tail had seperated and encircled Zeth's upper torso and head ((the blades not harming him of course)), somewhat like armor, and between the segments, electricity could be seen dancing along the line connecting them. Lucas looks at the segments and grins.
[glow=black,2,300]"Clever, but you leave yourself wide open....Humus Curve Maximus!!!"[/glow]
The earth scythe comes up from the ground agian, and strikes down at Zeth. The dragon fang and tail, however, unravels itself from Zeth's body, and with one flick from his wrist, it ravels around the scythe, and with one pull from Zeth, the scythe shatters.
"I'm not to be toyed with...."
Zeth looks at the remaining nexus members, and they all flee deeper into the cavern. ((Not Riena's way)) Zeth looks back at Lucas with disgust on his face.
"Give me your best shot, Lucas, or I'll kill you with one stroke of my blade....."
Lucas scowls and dashes to the cross, and stops at the altar.
[glow=black,2,300]"I will destroy you, using the most powerful weapon the Nexus Clan has!!"[/glow]
[glow=purple,2,300]"Lucas, don't!!! Do you want a death wish?!"[/glow]
[glow=black,2,300]"Silence! If I can't control it, it will destroy the whole cavern, to heck if I care!!"[/glow]
"You're mad...."
[glow=black,2,300]"Maybe...but I'm mad enough to try this...."[/glow]
Lucas raises his arms and chants.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Zeth, we have to stop him!"[/glow]
"I would, but...."
[glow=purple,2,300]"But what?!"[/glow]
"If we interfere with what he's doing, it could cause a backfire, and kill us and everyone who's in the cavern....so I'd rather not risk it..."

Zeth and Lily watch in horror, or in Zeth's case, anticipation, as Lucas started to end his chant.
[glow=black,2,300]"Now, behold the power that had other clans fear us many millenia ago!!!"[/glow]
As Lucas ends the last syllable, a black spear engraved with runes came down and struck right in front of him, and he grinned with malice as he took up the spear and held it above him as he looked down on Zeth and Lily.
[glow=black,2,300]"I told you I could wield the cross's power!! Now experience it!!!"[/glow]
He brings the spear down and in a flash, appears in front of Zeth, and the stabs the spear at Zeth's chest, but is repelled by the fang and tail, but he then stabs it into the ground and a stone pillar launches at Lily, which connects and knocks her into a nearby wall and falls to the ground, unconscious.
"Dang you..."
[glow=black,2,300]"Ha! I have only just begun to fight!!!"[/glow]
"Then let's see what you can do...."
Zeth surrounds himself in an azure aura and whispers...
[glow=blue,2,300]"Grace of Blades...."[/glow]
Zeth flashes in multiple places around Lucas, who couldn't keep up with Zeth's movement, strikes multiple times at Lucas's head, arms, and legs, created cuts and gashes in his wake. As Zeth landed in front of Lucas and turned to make the final blow, Lucas's eyes glowed a fierce red as he slashes his spear at Zeth, slicing right across his chest and making him retreat back, clutching his wound.
[glow=black,2,300]"Enough of these games!!! I will not be toyed with!!! And furtherm-"[/glow]
He stopped, looking puzzled, as the aura around Zeth grew darker and darker until his very flesh seemed grey, and his hair grew white until it could be compared with snow exactly.
[glow=black,2,300]"What the-...Who are you!!! What are you!!!"[/glow]
Zeth, in response, chuckled, but it didn't sound like Zeth at all. Someone, or something, darker, eviller, filled with blood lust.
[glow=black,2,300]"Answer me you monster!!!"[/glow]
"Monster? That's insulting, I'm no monster..."
The man looked up, eyes a pure amber, but the pupils, were crosses within the iris.
[glow=black,2,300]"You look like a monster to me..."[/glow]
"You know he does have a point...."
Degaro looks to his right and sees an illusion of Zeth appearing, which could be seen by all.
"You do have the appearance of a monster sometimes, Degaro..."
"Oh be quiet....I'm tired of you and soon I'll be free of you once we do that dang soul seperation...."
[glow=black,2,300]"What the-...What is going on!?"[/glow]
Degaro looks at Lucas with a bored look on his face.
"Well, how selfish of me...I should of introduced myself...my name is Degaro, Shadowclan, also general under the Necromancer, the 'Shadow of the Chaotic Sky'!"
"Well, former actually, since you lost your original physical form, and since you swore to rip the Necromancer apart with your own two hands..."
"Well, true, but I still like to go by my title..."
[glow=black,2,300]"What in the world is a shadowclan doing in a human being!!!"[/glow]
"Uh oh, you probably shouldn't of called Zeth a human..."
"Why in the name of the gods not-"
At that moment, the illusion of Zeth darted forward and floated directly infront of Lucas, eyes a blaze.
"For the last freaking time, I am not a human! I'm an Elemenca!!"
"Settle down Zeth, get a grip or I won't get to kill this guy..."
"Fine, just make it quick..."
Zeth floats away and leaves Lucas stunned.
[glow=black,2,300]"Well, that was disturbing..."[/glow]
"Tell me about it...but now...let us begin, but I won't go easy on you like Zeth did..."
[glow=black,2,300]"Very well, have at thee..."[/glow]
Degaro and Lucas stare eachother down as they readied their weapons, Lucas with his Nexus spear, and Degaro, forming a katana out of the surrounding shadows, and after a few moments, they charged.
