Nenuphar walked onto the docks, which were surprisingly empty, considering that this was what Anvil was famous for. She breathed in the salty sea air and began to walk forward, when a hand grabbed her arm roughly.
She whipped her head around and saw a short, fat man who seemed to be a sailor. "Well, now, a young lady at these docks? How unusual." She looked at the man questioningly. "Oh? Why is that, good sir?" He chuckled. "'Good sir', huh? That's rich. A couple of months ago, a high-ranking officer was killed here. The assassin still hasn't been found." "People are afraid the assassin will come back?" "Not, the assassin, no," he growled, shaking his head, "But the official himself!" "How can that be?!" "They say his ghost still haunts this place?" "His ghost?" "You do know what a ghost is, dont'cha?" "Um....." He rolled his eyes. "Well, it don't matter, anyhow. So, what kin I do for ya?" "When is the next ship leaving?"

"A ship? To where?" She smiled and shrugged. "In a hurry, are ya? Well, it ain't none of my affairs, but understand that if questioned, I'm not gonna lie about ya." "I have no problem with that. I simply despise liars." "The next ship leaves tonight at 7:00 and is for Leyawiin." Nenuphar nodded. "I'll be here." Walking off, she looked over her shoulder and called, "Tell the ghost I said hi!" Laughter was the only reply.

Later that night, Nenuphar returned and paid her boat fare. She had a considerable amount of money left, but she would still have to earn a bit more before she could afford to leave the next town. Then again, it all depended on how much silver was worth in Leyawiin.
The sailor from earlier gave her a strange look. "No baggage?" "You know, she said, smiling pleasently, "For someone who supposedly stays out of other's affairs, you sure do ask a lot of questions."
He chuckled nervously as she proceeded to pass by all of the gaurds who eyed her suspiciously. She boarded the ship, and, in a few moments, was off for Leyawiin.
