Cambion finally got to the inn in Alodale and was about to fall asleep standing up. He vaguely remembered paying the innkeeper and going to his small room and falling onto his bed. It had been a few hours since the sun had risen so he knew he didn't have much time until Eilonway got there. Finally, he couldn't keep himself awake any longer. He fell into a dreamless sleep.

Eilonway and the others were just arriving in town. She turned to Jess. "Jess, the healer's might need your help, can you go with the wounded? I'm going to help with the graves." She noticed Jess's expression of something like fear. "Jess are you alright? You've seemed kind of afraid lately. Though, I guess that's understandable, with what we've been through..."

Cambion awoke to the sound of a commotion in the tavern in the lower level of the inn. He looked out he wndow and noticed it was almost noon. He jumped out of bed, quickly threw his cloak on, grew a long beard and wrinkled his skin, and practically flew out the door and down the stairs. The tavern was in chaos. Peope were bustling in and out and several men were talking in big, booming voices (some with slurred speech) about what sounded like stories that were a bit short of credible. "What's happened," he asked in a deep, raspy voice to the bartender. He replied, "Have you not heard the news, man?! A traveling caravan was attacked coming down the road not a mile away from here. That's what's happened! Most likely bandits, if yer asking me. Bandits is mighty wicked.
((yes, I know I'm talking with incorrect speech)) ((if you need me to rewind a bit, I will))

"N-no!" Jess flinched and backed away from Elionway, her heart's pounding resounding in her ears. She had to be more careful, or she'd give herself away! Heck, she would have to be more careful about EVERYTHING! "I mean...you're right," she quickly said, "I am still a bit frightened. I-I'll just go help them now. Thank you."
With that, she quickly ran off to find the healers.

((sure, go ahead))
Eilonway watched Jess run away and caught one of the druidoks in the caravan who was going in the same direction. "Keep an eye on her," she said quietly, indicating Jess. She remembered the meeting that she had scheduled with Cambion and quickly set off towards the tavern.
* * * * *
Cambion was about to walk out the inn door after realizing Eilonway wasn't there, when he literally ran into her. "I'm sorry, my lass. Ah, I believe you're the one I've come to talk to. For a split second, though no one was looking, his resemblance changed to Cambion's. If a human had been watching, they would think it was a trick of the mind. Eilonway nodded and followed the old man into his room, where he changed back into Cambion.

The druidok that had followed Jess quickly caught up to her. He was in the form of a burly middle-aged man with a large, black beard and wild, black hair. "Lass, quite a skirmish back there, eh?" He, too, had been through many battles, but he wasn't as heartless as some of the other druidoks when it came to humans.

(( i thank you ))
Cronus sighed as he sat in his room after hearing of the attack on a travelling caravan, the bandit activity has been surprisingly up lately and many innocents are getting hurt by this each passing day, of course the bounty hunting buisness is getting a boost from this but....it is not something to be happy about. Cronus stood up from his chair and grabbed his halberd which leant against the wall 'guess i should take a stroll,dispite the panic outside the inn' he thought and walked downstairs passing an old man and a young woman on the way down .
Once outside he saw that the wounded were being taken to the healers 'should i he lp?'he thought about it a bit,he would gain some good karma from this so he said quietly to himself"why not?", he approached a man helping another who was wounded in the legs and decided to help him take the injured to the healers.

"Yes, sir," Jess replied politely, "It was horrible. I'm looking for my caravan's healers right now."

Cambion had a troubled expressin on his face. "Hello Eilonway. Are you okay?"
She nodded. "I'm fine. Some of the other druidoks were badly wounded, though. A few humans were killed, and most of the rest of them are being treated by healers." She proceeded to tell him of the attack on the caravan.
"That's troubling news, to say the least," he said as he stared out the small window in his room. "Where is the prisoner that you captured?"
"He's just outside of own, with a few druidok guards."
"Let's go then. I want to interrogate him myself." They left the inn, Cambion in the form of an old man again.

The druidok, whose name was Janemba, put a hand on her shoulder. "Aye, me too. I believe they are up here," he indicated a large building with people rushing in and out, some going in with potions and bandages. People who were the in the best shape were moved outside to make room for the more badly wounded. Janemba led Jess up to the building, where he spoke to a young man in his booming voice. "Lad, where be your master? We wish to help with the wounded." The boy replied, sounding half-asleep. "My master is busy right now. But I can help you. Follow me." He led them into the building full of wounded.

after as he was helping some man,who he found out was named lykor carry the wounded man to the healrs he felt a little happy,but was saddened again as he saw those who had more dangerous wounds then the the one he helped carry"tsk, the number of wounded is more then what i heard in the tavern"he said to lykor. lykor was a man in his late 50's, wearing a brown robe that covered most of his body and wore simple sandles which made him look like a monk,he had brown hair but was gray on the side which isuggested how old he would be. he looked at cronus and said"its usually like that from a bandit attack on an unprepared caravan,but honestly this is more then enyone thought....its like they were told to attack i, i have heard that there were skilled mercenaries there to protect so the losses should have been minimul, it seems to me the bandit were told hired to attack it with such force,instead of just a simple raid"he said in a voice that one would affiliate with a man brimmed with wisdom.
Cronus then noticed a young girl with a man who was possibly double her size,he could see the young girl was quite troubled more then anyone else it seem,but then again he did spot a few others just as her that were from the caravan and guessed that she must be one of survivors

"Thank you for helping us, sir," Jess said to the bearded man, "I don't remember seeing you among our numbers. Then again, I only just entered the caravan."

"Aye," Janemba said again. "I've been with the caravan from the start, and never had such an attack occured," he started to dress the wounds on a badly wounded, unconscious man, who he knew to be a druidok. He truly wondered how it had happened and with so much coordination. The bandits had eventually been routed but not before killing a few and wounding many more. And a wounded druidok in the rebellion was rare. Their attacks were often quick and efficient, having the element of suprise. And even when they didn't have that, their abilities with human weapons was nearly unmatched, not to mention their ferocity when in their animal forms. How would anyone know just who the caravan was really carrying: what it really was. On top of that, who would be foolish enough to attack them if they did know who they were?
* * * * *
Cambion was wondering about the same questions as he and Eilownay flew off towards the location of the prisoner. When they finally got there, they chaned into their human forms. Cambion observed the prisoner. He was probably in his twenties and was very muscular. He seemed tough enough, but Cambion knew that he would soon talk. The prisoner wore a tattered, black cloak and gray slacks. Cambion got straight to the point, as always. "Who do you work for?" The prisoner was silent.
* * * * *
Janemba finally noticed Jess's distraught state. "Me lass, are ye alright?" Of course, the battle probably got to her. He remembered that his first battle gave him cold chills for days.

"Y-Yes, I am," Jess said, tending to a nearby victim. She wondered if she should tell him the truth, or once again claim that it was simply the battle that affected her. She had only been talking with this man for a few minutes, but he seemed to her to be a kind-hearted man. "Sir," she said hesitantly, "Do you...do you really think that druidoks are evil?"

Janemba nearly jumped at the sudden question. Did she know something? He mentally shrugged the thought off and answered as truthfully as he could. "M'Lass, we humans are not collectively known as good, or evil for that matter. As was proved today, there are those that are good and those who delight in causing others pain to suit their own selfish needs. I think druidoks are the same way in that respect. There are some who go among humans and try to live a human life and those who like to hurt humans. No, m'lass. Druidoks are not collectively evil, nor good, as humans are neither collectively evil nor good, if any of that makes sense?" He believed every word he had said. "Why d'ye ask?"

"Oh!" Jess bent down, busily continuing to dress an unconscious man's wound, "N-No reason...well, it's just...I was remembering all of the stories I've been told about druidoks...about how they love to lure children into the woods at night and devour them, or about how their presence on a farm brings 10 years of bad luck...the list goes on and on." An idea suddenly struck her and provided her cover-up. "I was thinking of those stories as I saw the bandits attack our caravan, and I wondered if anything, even druidoks, could be more evil then them."

Janemba's suspicon didn't let up, but he nearly burst out laughing at what Jess said about stories of druidoks. "Those stories are old wives' tales. Nothing more. Pay them no heed," he maintained a serious look as he talked, trying to appear stern, despite his amusement. "Are ye sure ye're alright, m'lass?"
He noticed someone that had come in not too long ago with someone that looked like a monk. He mentally noted to keep an eye on him, though he didn't know why he was suspicious.
