Xi was over the ocean in a ship's rigging. It was her tenth birthday, and her present was swinging on a silver chain around her neck. She was looking down at a figure on the deck.
"Xi! Get down from there!" Her father called "You'll fall!'
"But dad! I havent fallen yet!" Her voice said, at the samw time nocking on the mast. She swung down anyway.
Rushing up to her father she ran up and gave him a big hug, making sure to move her shark-teeth braclett out of the way.
The scean changed, it was back and the ocean was crazyer than a wiled mustang. Brigh flashes of light followed by low booms. Rain was falling in torrents.
The wave, that big wave!! The shape of a snake over her in bright sunlight!
Xi's eyes snapped open and she jerked up and wacked her head on Kane's chin
"Oh! i'm sorry!"
