yes here are 2 ways.
1.Keep a letter in your inventory of the person in your mail box or inventory they will never move away.
2.send them lotsa of messages and quick.

Actualy, Aloof of him packing up to leave, I had sent him a letter. I had no IDEA he was leaving until I talked to him AFTER mailing the letter! So he stayed, also the nearest Wi-Fi near my house if at a McDonald's LOL |

LOL, can I have some cash? this isn't like the Gamecube version where time traveling WON'T effect turnip prices, I learned that the HARD way.
my town is Rockwood, I am Cloud, we've got a Penguin a Zebra, a Kangaroo, and if I could get my DS charger, I'd tell ya the rest lul

Kid Cat's House:
I walked into my friend, Kid Cat's house, we'd been freinds since I moved in here, I had recently Inspired him not to leave. We were hanging out, lifting some weights. He had K.K. Rider playing, to get the blood pumping. When it was his turn I wandered around his home and ended up near his locker. The locker didn't have a lock so I oppened it, to see what other clothes he had. I looked in awe, and thought to myself, "What are Luigi's Clothe's doing here?"
OOC: His locker seriusly says when you open it "What are Luigi's clothes doing in here?!?"
