Roys Lab/Clock tower of DOOM

Roy gave a limp smile and sheathed his gunlance as the whetstone was whitled down to a meager pebble. Roy got up and began to head to ascending staircase.

Roy began to ascend the dark stairs. Each step he took his Heavy boots sounded on each step with a large boom. A metal rebounding noise that rang through his ears. This, Sounds very familiar... why does a sound make me remember things? Weird,still this is enjoyable.
Roy smilled as he ascended the steps but as he reached the last step he began to feel strange. He put an arm over his stomache and continued to press forward. He felt an enormus pressure upon his body making him feel like he was going to cave into himself. As he continued he was met by a large platform that was completly barren but there was something in the middle of the plaform. It was a ball of darkness that has other little spheres swarming around it. they seemed to go in a certain path almost like they were orbiting the ball of darkness in the center. Roy froze as the ball of darkness seemed to rotate and look at him. Roy stood motionless as the ball of darkness began to form an eye in is spherical front. What normally should have been white in an eye was completely a dark red and in the center was a bright yellow circle that surrounded the Iris wich had a dark mark on the inside of them,one in which roy did not understand.

(Eadgar doesn't have a dagger poking out whatsoever, he's entirely covered by a cloak.. You have to remember he's in a disguise, he looks nothing like an assassin. To anyone and everyone he's an average priest with a staff.)

The creature howled at roy and he instantly withdrew his gunlance but even before it snapped into place the creature had flown into him and sent him tumbling down the stairs.

Roy got to his feat as he wiped off a small notch of blood off his cheek. What the H*ll was that?!? Roy this time withdrew his gunlance and pressed the but of the gunlance to his shoulder and walked carefully up the stairs. Come out Come out were ever you are! Roy thought as he ascened the stairs limping a little. As he reached the platform again the sphere had returned to its original place and lowered its eye back onto roy. The sphere howled once more and flew at roy again. Roy this time would not be caught off gaurd,As soon as the creature was about 4 feat away roy thrusted his Gunlance forward and pulled the trigger. The sphere exploded into a bright fireball as roy jumped back to avoid the smoldering mass.

Kearen glanced up at the noise above them, then shrugged. "sounds like those bandits me an' Dire took care of, well sorta, not really." She turned back to eadgar. "So why did you leave your temple?"

Roy took a deep breath and examined the remains of the creature. Fascinating! how could a creature that large and without any forms of propelling its self of the ground is quite intriguing! I cant wait to see what else this tower has in store! Roy smiled and continued along the platform.

Just like the platform that was below him there were disks that were not turning but there was one that intrigued Roy.

There was nothing wrong with the disk except for the fact that it was pointing up wards like a dinner plate being set on its side,There was also a small almost triangular hole in the center of the disk that Roy began to try and look down into. Hmmm... Now I feel like Ive seen this before,Maybe this place is my quest and there is something that I have to do to get it! Oh I love this! Roy gave a silent giggle and began to examine the hole looking through his objects that would be about the size of the hole.

Roy reached into his back pocket but felt a sharp pain and withdrew his hand instinctively and looked at his hand. Blood trickled down his index finger and began to pool within the palm of his hand but to see what had caused his wound filled him with glee. It was a Triangular shaped object the exact size of the hole. The only problem was,It was the Bayonet to his Gunlance.

Oh great.. he thought as he tore off a piece of cloth from his shirt and wrapped it around his hand.
He reached for the bayonet and unfastened the locks that held it in place making it fall to the floor and ring loudly upon the metal floor.

At this, Eadgar lowered his head. With a sigh, he took a deep breath and shook it.
"I'd rather not tell."

Roy carefully picked up the bayonet and walked over to the disk and inserted the bayonet into the triangular hole. The Bayonet glided into hole and began to sputter. The bayonet instantly disapered into the darkness of the hole. The Disk began to shift and spin slowly,The sound of metal on metal grinded throughout the tower and large booms and thunderus roars of machinery operating.

Kearen looked at him curoisly 'you'd rather not tell." She said thoughtfully. Then she shrugged "i gess you have a right to keep screats, as i do.'

Roy watched the machinery turn as the teeth that were on the disk began to catch onto the ones below it turning them making it turn others as well.
The ground gave a slight tremmor as metal began to grind against stone opening a something below.
Roy sighed and brushed off his shirt and began to make his way down the stairs and to his amazement the people who had entered were still talking.
But what roy saw next was even more amazing. The large Iron door that had once been sealed shut was now ajar.
