More sight reading today. Choir and band need to team up to play One Winged Angel IF they did decide to do it, I would hope the choir would be MEATY enough to sing those parts. It's those parts where you can't slack or try and substitute a big turkey with a pork chop. YOU NEED A STRONG BASE, YOU NEED A STEADY VIBRATO, YOU NEED BIG NOISE That's why that piece would be so tough. It's not as-- (and I'm guessing on these words based on vowels I hear in the actual profession performances) Venos sitapique memoteh jenepeque.... Sephiroth? as it is-- VEE-N0HS SEE-TA-PEEK, MEE-MO-TAEH JE-NNE-PEEKE SAE-FEE-ROTH!!! Those vowels are HARD, especially at the volume they are to be produced at. AND OH MY GOSH THAT IS HARD TO PUT IN ALL OF THE ACCENTS AND MUSICALITY FREAKINGHARD The accents, an example could be: the bad way: Sephiroth... The good way: SE FEE ROTH <-- each syllable as if it were its own word, but still connected And the musicality: the bad way: SE FEE ROTH <-- sounding plain. Good, but plain the good way: SEFEE[/B]ROTH[/B] <-- sounding like you are growing, drawing back, then growing again. TALK ABOUT FREAKING HARD, THAT'S THE DEFINITION RIGHT THERE :\
