Yeah..well...we still did pretty good. We beat all of the others by atleast 15 points. And that one guy gave us a overall rating of 410 out of 500!!!

yeah but the other guy gave us a 310 outa 500..... the glass is half full....... but we still cleaned house! (and the crowd goes wild!)

Well, Mr. Salley is making us play the pieces over and over again...and making us sight read as well. Today we read a peice that went into 9-4 time and 12-4 time. >_>

I agree! When would we ever need to sight-read anyway? If some extremely demanding audience wants a flawless performance in 2 minutes??

I guess that our directors want us to be able to read any piece of music that they might ever throw at us. Last year, our former band director handed out a compilation in the middle of a performance and gave the band five minutes to sight read it and play it.
