Well, I was listening to this song on my I-Pod the other day after roleplaying and I realized that this was actually quite befitting for Nenuphar.

After Arrucard-the only mortal he/she had ever felt sympathetic towards-died, Nenuphar decided that being kind to others was meaningless, because you could never permanently protect them from their own mortality.
