He is, but I really like Generals and Great Lords Ephraim and Eirika. Especially if they have Sacred Twin weapons. The scary thing: I think my characters were actually more powerful than the characters the people at Prima Games had. O.o

1) Use the arenas. NEVER rely only on the funds you get through the story mode. 2) Use the Tower of Valni once you unlock it. It's exellent for training, especially if you make a lot of money at the arenas. Other than that, just keep your party balanced.

True, true. The only one I would ever let die is Tethys, and even then I hate to. It stinks to get to the end and see "Perished in Chapter 13: Fluorspars Oath" or anything like that.

ohh yes the never let anyone die rule. it has hindered my game play making it slower but still i wouldn't change it. amazingly franz has become one of my best players.

Not too suprising; with work, he can be a really good Paliden or Great Knight (though I prefer Paliden).

He has no defense so I never spent any time leveling him up

His defense is kind of weak at the start, but Eirika is worse, and soldiers are exellent to train against, since they're so weak.
