He puts his hand on Kari's cheek.
"But, with Kari and myself together again, I suppose nothing can stand in our way."
He looks back at Zeth.
"I've learned new techniques for my blade, new forms of spells. I'm ready to face Umbra again. This time, he can't hide behind a little spell, can't strike pain into the hearts of those I care about."

Reunions are so heartbreaking, of course. With a wave of goodbye, the figure turns and begins walking out along a hallway towards a door leading outside.
