"Nice," Willow commented, catching the pack. She swallowed a piece of jerky and looped a rope around the sack. Then, she tossed it over the branch ten feet or so above her head. "I don't use my magic much," she said dryly, trying the sack.

"I don't do much...except steal. That's my only talent I suppose." Willow frowned and set down her own light pack and the sleeping roll. "You split up because of me?" she said finally.

"Yes..." Lan said, leaning against a log. "Why do you steal things?" "I can see you crafted that knife yourself." "I could teach you how to do many things, some that are now lost to all of civilization."

"Because I'm not smart enough to get a decent job. I used to work on those docks, but my talent is wind, not water. And what use is wind?" Willow asked herself. "Yes, I craft my items myself. My sword was a gift from a friend...Lost?" Willow echoed, turning to him. "And how would you know about them?" The wind echoed her uneasiness, blowing her hair around her face, her green eyes troubled.

Lan smiled. "Well, lets just say I'm a bit older than youd think.."

Willow turned away. "What kind of things could you teach me? Besides, why would you? I tried to steal from you."

"Well, over the years i've learned that everyone deserved a second chance..." "Even I needed one just recently, and a friend gave me one." "And as for what I could teach you... oh where to begin.." "I could teach you how to make gold out of herbs, I could teach you how to make swords that can cut rock, how to make water out of air...how to catch the rarest fish with ease.. and these are just some things.." "If you became my apprentice, I could pass on what I know to someone else.."

"Old habits are hard to drop," Willow replied, watching him steadily. "Are you sure you wanna take the chance of having to answer to guards?"

Willow grinned back and held up her hand. In it was another of his gold coins. "I bet I could." The wind blew a little harder against her hands, and Willow could almost feel it laughing.

ooc-Bleh, what are you doing? *ish confuzzed*
bic-Willow grinned and tossed the second coin back. "Thank, but apprenticy isn't my thing. But I'd like to see what's going on. Something big is happening and you seem to be smack in the middle of it."
What would he do if Kirian dropped in to visit me? Willow thought edgily. Vampires. They have bounties on their heads around here.

Lan thought to himself for a while. "Whatever you want." "I could still show you a few tricks that i've learned." He hopped up and said "someone is here"

Willow was erect in a moment, her sword already in hand. Kirian, don't be stupid. "Where?"
ooc-Do you want me to bring in Kirian or what? because he's somewhere else. I just got bored and stuck him in there. But I can drag him out if we want..
