Arissa thought to herself:
Hm...didn't I see something about vampires in the Kvatch Elder Tome?
She went to her room and heaved out a massive book she had hid underneath her bed. Kreyo was always talking about how he dissaproved "twisted" magic, of which this book had a lot of. She scanned through the thick yellow pages, her eyes racing to keep up with the flipping pages before her.
"This may take a while..." she muttered under her breath.

As they approche the south riuns, they where greeted by a make-shift camp of some of the recent attacks refughes. They stared at the grope, slightly nervous and wary

((LOL the grope. I hope you mean group.)) Lan followed closely behind Arissa, his party slightly behind him. L'archel had strung her bow and was letting it rest there on her hip.

After hours of page-flipping, Anasa discovered she had dog-eared the page.
".....................well, grenchyai. >_>;"
Anyway, she found a passage about Kvatch vampires. There had been only a few attacks sprinkled throughout the town's history, until a few months before the town's destruction, when vampire sightings were at an extreme high. Strangely enough, the vampires never fed on any of those who saw them or even glanced their way. Only one recorded incident told of a vampire looking a human straight in the eyes, then turning and flying quickly away. After its destruction, Kvatch's vampire sightings went down to zero.
"If I didn't know any better..." Anasa whispered to herself, "I'd say that the town was destroyed for the purpose of clearing out its vampires, and that they foresaw it and ran away. But, there are other towns crawling with vampires that have been quite prosperous. Why this town, then?"

Anasa heard a knock on the door and quickly hid the book back underneath her bed. She opened it and saw Kreyo. "Anasa, follow me," he said, "It's time we worked more on your training." "Yes, kreyo!!!! Which medical technique will we work on today?" He shook his head. "I'm afraid we'll be studying something a bit different." "Different?" "Well, see here, Anasa," he said, folding his wrinkled hands behind his back, "You don't want to keep relying on Arissa, do you?" Anasa shook her head. "Then, follow me. I'll show you a secret hideout of mine." He flicked his hand up into the air and summoned a portal of light. "After you," he said, sweeping his hand towards it. She took a deep breath, then plunged through.

Lan glanced up at Arissa and shook his head. He used an illumination spell and stepped into the sink hole. He used iron arrows, but any arrow was good on a vampire, unless they summoned a ghost. He gestured for Arissa to follow.

The sink hole opened up into a cave, which wound in a straight path back into the side of the hill. l'Archel had come in behind them with a silver arrow notched in her bow. The other two had stayed outside to guard the door.

Anasa and Kreyo emerged from the portal. Anasa was 19 now. (Yes, I am stealing this off of Dragon Ball Z.)
She looked around the room in wonder. Was it really the same way it was 3 years ago? Or rather, a few moments ago? A loud crash erupted as one of Kreyo's vials broke.
"Anasa!" Kreyo said urgently, "Do NOT let your mind wander! You now have the ability to attack with the power of light. However, since it was required through my spell, it's going to be harder for you to control then if you trained in this timestream.
"I know, I know," Anasa said, cradling her head in her hands, "I'll just have to learn to stay focused."
(Bum bum BUM!!!!)
"But, Kreyo," she said, turning her blue eyes towards him, "Why did you do this? Why not train me here?"
"Enough questions!" he snapped, walking, "I'm hungry. Make me some more eggs!"
Anasa nodded, sadly. She already knew why. Kreyo was afraid he would not be long for this world.
