Lan stepped into the mid morning sun, breathing in the salty sea air. Already he felt for energized. He sat on a rock and waited for Arissa and Anasa.

He stepped up and gave her a quick hug. "I'll miss you, Arissa."
He went over and hugged Anasa.
And with a wave of his hand he started walking down the beach

Arissa grinned and ran to him. pulling out all of her remaning firebird arrows she handed them to him. "By, Veshni. See you later. " She turned and walked back to Anasa who was waving good by.

Lan was grateful for the cloth surounding his eyes, so they couldn't see his tears as he turned and walked away.

Arissa and Anasa now set out to find thier way to Anasa's teacher on the back of a rescued wyvren, who blows a firey tribute to Lan.

Anasa turned and waved goodbye to Lan.
"Arissa," she said, "I need to be stronger, so that I can help more people like Lan. But...I don't want to hurt anyone..."
She lowered her eyes, thinking. Suddenly:
"That's it! I'll become a troubadour, and use my powers to heal people, not hurt them."
She turned once again, smiling back at Lan, tears forming in the back of her eyes.
"I hope we'll meet again, Lan. May the fairies guide you and keep you safe."

Dire arrived at the Anvil coast after days of travelling. He turned and helped kearen off. "Here we are."
